Ultimate Wrestling Q&A: Alberto Del Rio, Ultimate Warrior, Heel Announcer For AEW & More…

Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Alberto Del Rio, Ultimate Warrior & More
May 21, 2020

A new edition of the Q&A. Snootchie Bootchies. Let’s do this…

The Ultimate Warrior. A savage or a saint?

How about a mixture of both? Warrior was not a good person in many ways. He was homophobic, sexist, and a bit of an ass. But he loved his wife and children and seemed to have lightened up a bit towards the end of his life. He was never, nor will he ever be one of my favorites, but he has his fans and friends and they think highly of him. So not a saint by any means, but not a savage either. How about just a Warrior?

Thoughts on Alberto Del Rio’s recent arrest?

Is anyone surprised? Think back of his history with Paige and his behavior since leaving WWE? He’s an ass-twit and on a road of self-destruction and chaos. I’m not surprised at all at the recent charges against him, but only that it took so long.

Does AEW need a heel announcer?

Chris Jericho has done an amazing job in recent weeks providing color commentary for AEW, but he’s not able to work the job every week due to his other responsibilities, aka being Le’ Champion and the head of the Inner Circle. So should someone else step in and take the role? Only if they can do it as well as Jericho (or if it’s Aiden English). Otherwise, I would say No.

Thoughts on the Inner Circle’s “murder” of Vanguard 1?

I was glad to see it. I always hated that little robotic snitch anyways.

Whose world title reign in history was the most unmentionable and forgettable?

Vince’s reign as the WWE Champion comes to mind. Also, his run as the ECW Champion. I hated Vince Russo as the WCW Champion. And any title reign by The Great Khali should be erased and forgotten by the wrestling historians as well.

What is the more Iconic Prop:
Jim Duggan’s 2 x 4, Sting’s Bat, Bob Orton’s cast, Or Jim Cornette’s Tennis Racket? Or something else?

Of these four mentioned, I’d say Cornette’s tennis racket. But a shout out for Al Snow and Head, Ernie Ladd and his taped thumb, and Baby Doll’s “Manilla Envelope” would have to be included among the options as well.
