Questions By Casper XXVII
August 7, 2020
Over in the world of Twitter, I found a man that likes to ask questions. And I do mean a lot of them. His name is Tyler “The Ghost” Casper and he’s at @tyler_casper. A good guy that you should go check out. Now, as I was saying, he likes to ask questions. I like to answer them and it provides content for the site. So here we are. Every few days, I go down his feed and copy the inquiries he’s asked. And then it’s here for the answers. It’s insightful, thought-provoking, and hopefully entertaining for you, the reader, as well. So let’s can the chit chat and let’s do this. Are you ready? And away we go…
How do you feel about audiobooks?
I like them. Nothing beats a real, physical in-your-hands book, but when time is short and you have many other things you need to do, an audiobook is a great compromise. You get to hear the book being read but at the same time, you can continue with your other activities. A good deal for all.
What is the longest incoherent conversation you’ve ever had been about?
I’m sure that I was drunk and talking to my bro-son. As for the topic, it probably started on wrestling and went down from there.
Would you rather read a book or watch a movie adaptation?
I usually tend to prefer the book. Movies are great, but there is only so much you can fit into three hours. Books have more details and tend to tell a better story.
Do you think it’s ever ok to do the wrong thing for the right reason?
It’s probably not okay, but I think we’ve all done it at some point.
Do you think most people have good intentions?
Most people are generally good and decent folks. Unfortunately, there are so many ass-wipes and pinheads out there now, it’s harder to tell who is who and thus, even the good ones have to be cut off sometimes.
Why aren’t customer service jobs coming back to America?
Because America has turned into a nation of snot-nosed entitled corn pops who think the world owes them and to help someone or be respectful is something they’re not willing to do. Courtesy and common sense, the basis for good customer service, used to be prevalent, but now, it’s just a lost cause.
Why aren’t people who migrate to America required to learn the language?
If they want to flourish and do well, they will have to and it should be required.
So, when you get a new driver’s license, are you still required to wear a mask for the picture?
It would probably be an improvement for the majority of drivers license photos, but alas, I don’t think a mask is required and must be removed for the taking of the actual photo.
What is the worst ice cream there is?
Is there such a thing as bad ice cream? Off the top of my head, I can’t recall any.
What is the best ice cream there is?
For me personally, it would be orange sherbert. But vanilla and butter pecan are both awesome as well.
My wife is teasing me… Is that mean?
I’m sure that you probably deserve it. Teasing is just a way of showing love for some people.
Have you ever had bubble gum ice cream?
Yes, I have. And we made milkshakes out of it. It was good.
Why does children’s medicine taste so horrid?
Because children need to learn that sometimes, life can be a bitter pill to swallow.
What is the grossest thing you were expected to eat?
Vagina. How you straight boys do it, I’ll never understand.
Have you ever gotten a parking ticket?
This is one that I can say a conclusive no to.
Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket?
Yes, but in my defense, I’m a big Sammy Hagar fan and, like Sammy, I can’t drive 55.
When was the last time you were pulled over?
A couple of years ago. I was crossing Blue Farms Road and an officer who had been following me hit the blue lights. I pulled over immediately and after a wait of a few minutes, he came to the car with a sheepish grin on his face and apologized. He didn’t mean to hit the lights. He was reaching for his phone and hit the blue light switch by accident. He never even checked my ID or anything.
Is there a candy from your childhood that you wish was still made?
The Marathon Candy bar. Long and made up of crisscrossed caramel. Good stuff.
Is there a candy that’s made nowadays that you wish they made when you were growing up?
I kind of like the caramel M&M’s.
What kind of humor is the best kind of humor?
Dark, black, semi-tasteless humor has always been my favorite.
What is the last thing to go through a bugs head when it hits your windshield?
What is the number one most important thing to remember when camping?
That check-out time is usually at 11.
And there you go. My thanks for reading and to Casper for providing these awesome questions.
