It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this…

Given Mickie James is feuding with Nattie & Lana, if she were to get a Tag Partner who would be the best suited for her?

Mickie is good enough that almost any female on the roster would work since she’s able to adapt her style to work with anyone, one of the benefits of being a legend and a veteran. I’d like to see Carmella as Mickie’s potential partner just because I’d like to see Carmella back in action in a WWE ring.

Who is Brent Parnell?

Brent Parnell is a former wrestler best known for being the “best friend” and man who shot and killed wrestler “Gentleman” Chris Adams. According to reports, they were both drinking heavily and roughhousing and Adams got out of control and wouldn’t calm down so Parnell shot him. He was arrested and charged with murder but found not guilty by a jury trial.

Should Chris Jericho have a new bodyguard, aka Ralphus?

For Chris, I don’t think it’s a good idea since he’s already been there and done that with the original Ralphus in WCW. However, I would love to see him gift Sammy Guevera with a Ralphus 2.0 bodyguard to help Sammy in his feud with Matt Hardy. Sammy has the comedy skills and perfect character that this would work well and who knows, if the bodyguard bit works, we could even have a match for AEW with Sammy & Ralphus 2.0 versus Matt and Senor Benjamin. It’d make great TV and I’d love to see AEW go this route.

Do you ever see a situation where wrestlers would boycott their own promotions?

Nope because unlike the athletes in the NBA, MLB, NFL, etc, wrestlers are independent contractors and if they tried to pull the crap that those hypocritical clowns in other pro sports franchises are trying, they’d be fired and replaced rather quickly, as they should be.

How long before Retribution is dropped from the WWE due to recent events?

There was no sign of them this past week on RAW or Smackdown or on the Payback PPV earlier tonight so it may have already happened. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but with all the unrest and craziness going on in the real world, this storyline will end sooner rather than later.

What are your thoughts on NXT and AEW’s recent ratings without being head-to-head?

I think it means that both NXT and AEW has a strong core audience that will watch when they can, but neither promotion seems to be able to draw new viewers by any significant amount. Both shows had the opportunity to break a million viewers, but both failed. That says that they both need work to improve the product, the matches, the perception of the shows being must-see, and the presentation. Both shows are on the right track, but both still have a long ways to go.

What do you project that Roman Reigns’s impact will be on the WWE and wrestling? How about that possible Paul Heyman Alliance?

I think he’ll be the new Universal Champion and finally get some great heel heat. And look at what happened at Payback? I was right.
