It’s Saturday morning and I’ve already had a conversation with a sexy guy on IM and have had to grit my teeth in annoyance at my parental unit. It’s going to be a long day. Are you ready for the Ultimate Q&A? Let’s do this…

Marty Jannetty says that his “murder confession” was just the start of a storyline. Thoughts?

That’s all well and good, but Marty hasn’t wrestled a match since 2018. He doesn’t work for any promotions or wrestling companies on a regular basis and his whole explanation tends to sound like a bunch of crap. But then again, it is Marty Jannetty and he tends to be a bit of an exaggerator sometimes. I think he’s just realized that maybe he screwed up and now he’s in “CYA” mode. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes and if anything else develops. I know the local police are still investigating.

Who will be the first AEW wrestling star to leave to go to WWE?

Jericho will end up back with WWE at some point even if it’s just to join the WWE Hall of Fame, but so far as home-grown AEW stars, I think that MJF and Sammy Guevera both have WWE contract offers in their future for large sums of money. Whether they accept the deals or not, who knows, but the offers will be there.

Who will be the first AEW star who’s ex-WWE to leave AEW and go back to WWE?

I already answered this with Chris Jericho in the last question, but I also think Jake Hager & Matt Cardona will eventually go back to the land of Titan at some point as well.

Netflix has canceled ‘The Big Show Show’. Thoughts?

I watched one episode. It was okay, but nothing special. No big deal!

Eric Young is the new Impact Wrestling Champion. Thoughts?

Good for Eric Young. He’s always been a talented wrestler and had good runs with the TNA/Impact promotion. WWE didn’t know how to use him properly, but he’s getting his opportunity now to have the ball and he’s headed for the endzone. I’m happy for him.

Should Ravishing Rick Rude have been a World Champion?

He was, technically, with the WCW International World Championship or whatever they called it, the big gold belt, but I guess you’re talking about the WCW, NWA, or WWE Championship, and to that, I agree. He should have had some championship title runs. He didn’t really need the belts to be over. He was that good, but it still would have been nice to see.

Thoughts on The York Foundation (Alexandria York, Richard Morton, Terrance Taylor & Thomas Rich)?

It was the faction that introduced us to Terri Runnels and gave Terry Taylor, Ricky Morton, and Tommy Rich, a second chance to work a prominent angle during rough spots in their career. It was good for WCW at the time and I always liked to see Ms. York try to explain her computer mumbo-jumbo as to why it’s the difference between winning and losing for her team. It was an entertaining and much under-rated faction for WCW.

Chris Jericho & Jake Hager are going after FTR and the AEW Tag Team Championship. Good thing or not?

I think it’s a good thing. AEW really hasn’t done anything with Jake thus far and Jericho, at this point in his career, is better suited for shorter matches and tag team action. And it gives FTR (and their manager, Tully) some great opponents to work against. It’s a good move for all involved.

Is the Hurt Business the best wrestling faction in WWE today?

I personally prefer the Inner Circle over at AEW and Zelina Vega’s little faction, when they’re getting along, in WWE, but I will admit that MVP’s Hurt Business is starting to get my notice. And it’s giving Shelton Benjamin and now Cedric Alexander a chance to be in the spotlight for a bit so that’s cool too.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions you’d like to see answered, feel free and drop me a line using the comment box, my e-mail of Doug28352@yahoo.com, or Twitter at @Doug28352. I’m out of here for now. Take care of yourself, watch out for the crazies, and don’t forget to support your local Independent Wrestling promotions and wrestlers. I’ll see you at the matches.
