It’s time to do the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

Your thoughts on Santana and Ortiz?

A good and solid tag team. They had a great run in TNA/Impact and while I originally questioned their selection as part of Jericho’s Inner Circle, they’ve been used well in that role and seem to fit in. I am surprised that they haven’t made a serious effort to go after the tag team titles as of yet, but I guess that will happen eventually. They’re not the Midnight Express or even the SHIELD, but Santana and Ortiz are solid back-ups for Jericho and I guess that’s what matters most to AEW.

Should AEW use the FTW belt as a hardcore belt?

I don’t think so. Hardcore matches and titles are generally joke titles in my opinion and while it’s not the most credible or respected belt in wrestling history, Taz and his FTW belt deserve more respect than that.

Your thoughts on Maxwell Jacob Friedman?

One of the best young heels to come around in many, many years. He really is better than you and will be, a big star, for many years to come. He’s the future.

Stan Hansen as the manager of Adam Page & James Storm. Thoughts?

I don’t where this idea came from, but it would be mighty interesting to see. I’d pop for it.

Is the Inner Circle getting too big? How big can/ should a stable be?

I won’t say it’s too big yet, but it’s getting there. For me, the maximum number of people, depending upon their role, would five, with maybe a manager added to make it six, but it depends on who the people are. Look at the nWo. Four or five was ideal. Then everyone and their brother was a member and it went to hell. The Inner Circle is getting a bit crowded now, but I suspect once MJF and Jericho split, that will be rectified.

How big was Disco Inferno back in the day? I know Cornette from TNA so I get why his opinion is regarded but is DI as respected?

Disco was a solid performer for WCW and I think he’s well-liked as a person and talent, but also generally considered to be a bit of a goof. He had a lame gimmick and made it work. He had good matches and always proved to be entertaining. He was part of one of my favorite tag teams in WCW history, the Boogie Knights. But he had crazy booking ideas and seemed to favor the silly over the sensible. He’s liked, but his opinions and thoughts are more tolerated than respected in my opinion.

Earl Hebner says that Vince McMahon has been begging him to come back to WWE. Thoughts?

If Vince called Earl and asked him to come back to the WWE, Earl would be all over it and moving back to CT before Vince could hang up the phone. Me thinks that Earl is somewhat delusional here.

Roddy Piper as a face or as a heel. Which did you prefer?

I prefer the heel. Piper being the nice guy, kissing babies, and being respectful to others, just didn’t feel right. Piper being a bully, a prick, and obnoxious, that was always a pleasure to see and witness.

Should Adam Page join the Dark Order?

I would say no. While the DO are entertaining and far more enjoyable since Brodie Lee seems to have taken a leave of absence, they’re still the AEW equivalent of the J.O.B. Squad. I don’t see how an association with this crew would be able to help Page or make him a better wrestler/character.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions are welcome. Until the next time, stay safe and take care of yourself. I’ll see you at the matches.
