Impact Wrestling No Surrender 2021: Thoughts & Predictions…

Tossing Salt Presents:
Impact Wrestling No Surrender 2021
Thoughts & Predictions
February 13, 2021

Later tonight, Impact Wrestling will present the 2021 edition of No Surrender, featured on pay-per-view and ImpactPlus. I know I’ve been MIA for a week. I’ve been not good, but I’m back now and ready to make a few predictions. Let’s do this.

Impact Wrestling Champion Rich Swann vs. Tommy Dreamer on Dreamer’s 50th Birthday.

Wouldn’t it be nice to celebrate the big 5-0 by becoming the Impact Wrestling World Champion? It’d be nice, but unfortunately for Tommy Dreamer, it’s not going to happen. He will come close and it’ll be a two-count city time and time again, but we will not see a title change here. In fact, I expect Dreamer to take a beating of near-epic proportions. We may even have a little Moose interference. And Swann will give Dreamer a birthday beating fit for the King of Hardcore.

Winner and STILL Impact Wrestling Champion: Rich Swann

Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers vs. Private Party with Matt Hardy vs. Chris Sabin & James Storm

For the time being, I can’t see Gallows and Anderson losing their titles. I think a future AEW-crossover event with a few gentlemen from New Japan, aka The Bullet Club, is in the future, and having Gallows & Anderson wearing gold while representing Impact Wrestling would look much better than having naked waists and just being former champions. There will be some close calls and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Omega, Callis, or maybe even some of Matt Hardy’s past transgressions get involved. Look for Gallows and Anderson to retain.

Winners and STILL Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions: The Good Brothers

Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion TJP vs. Rohit Raju.

While I like TJP, I think having Raju as the lying, manipulative, just-barely holding on to the belt, champion works better. And we need at least one good title change here.

Winner and NEW X-Division Champion: TJP

Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz vs. Neveah and Havok – Texas Tornado No DQ Match.

I must be honest and admit that I could care less about this match. While the Impact women are okay, some of them anyhow, it’s not quite on the level of the WWE or NXT ladies. Havok is good so I’ll go with her and the woman who is pure hell personified, the opposite of Heaven (read her name backward) to take the gold here. Title change tonight.

Winners and NEW Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions: Neveah & Havok

Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo & Susan & Kimber Lee vs. Jordynne Grace & Jazz & ODB.

Never bet against ODB or else she’ll slap you across the head with her boobs. That woman sure loves her boobs. And damn, they’re big. Jazz is awesome too. Look for the two vets and Grace to win here.

Winners: Jordynne Grace, Jazz, & ODB.

Eddie Edwards & Matt Cardona vs. Brian Myers & Hernandez.

The former Zack Ryder and partner taking on Curt Hawkins & his partner. Are we watching Impact Wrestling or WWE Superstars? Myers and Cardona are best friends in real life and this is history, the dissolution of the Major Brothers. Woo woo woo, you know it. Bring back Heath! This might be the dark-horse match of the night because you know that everyone will be going all out to steal the show. I think I’ll go with Matt & Eddie because they need a win more. You know it.

Winners: Matt Cardona & Eddie Edwards

Triple Threat Revolver: Josh Alexander, Ace Austin, Chris Bey, Blake Christian, Daivari, Willie Mack, Trey Miguel, and Suicide.

Three men compete as the match begins. When one competitor is eliminated, a new competitor will join the match until everyone has entered. The final three competitors will then battle until there is a final pinfall or submission, leading to one final victor. And the winner gets what? It’s essentially a gauntlet match, but three men at a time instead of two. I’ll go with Daivari here. There’s no reason for him to win, but still, why the hell not. I like the dude.

Winner: Daivari

XXXL & Tenille Dashwood vs. Rosemary & Black Taurus & Crazzy Steve.

It’s hard to go against the lovely trio of craziness that is Rosemary, Taurus, and Crazzy Steve, but we’re talking about the former Emma from WWE and Acey Romero, the big man who dominated the first-ever All In event from AEW. Okay, maybe he didn’t, but the extra-large man made an impression on me. The Crazies don’t need a win or loss. Just do some insane stuff and everyone will be happy. XXXL and Tenille need to get the win more so I’ll pull for them to take that trip to the pay window.

Winners: XXXL & Tenille Dashwood

Deaner vs. Jake Something.

Deaner has been on the verge of getting a good push lately and I think it begins and continues here.

Winner: Deaner

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Today is a big catch-up day so you’ve been warned that there is more to come. Enjoy the show and send me some thoughts, comments, or any questions you might have. Take care and stay safe. I’m back bitches. I loves ya and I’ll see you at the matches.
