Let’s do this, shall we? It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. And now we begin.

Thoughts on AEW Revolution?

All in all, it was a pretty good show. I think that the tag team battle royal deal was a bit of a confusing and convoluted mess, and of course that ending and the big explosion, or lack thereof, was a big letdown, but the matches were all solid and strictly on both wrestling and advancing stories standpoint, I think AEW did well and had a solid show. Was it the best they’ve ever had? Nope, but it definitely wasn’t the worst either. That final segment was hard to see, but the rest of the show was definitely a good one and AEW has nothing to be ashamed of. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’ll give it a solid 7.5.

Are you excited to see Christian as the newest AEW talent?

Absolutely. Christian was my prediction and now I actually have a reason to want to watch AEW aside from Sammy and FTR. It’s obvious that WWE didn’t really have anything for Christian to do and so he took a positive step and now AEW has a man who can talk, wrestle, teach, be serious or funny, and is seemingly incapable of having a bad match. This is a major positive for the company and I’m glad to see that Mr. Cage will finally have that opportunity to have that “one more match”.

What will happen at the Inner Circle “War Conference” this upcoming Wednesday on Dynamite?

Sammy comes back. MJF and the rest of the group turn on Jericho. Anarchy ensues and we have a new tag team of Sammy & MJF while Jericho seeks aid from his former rivals and maybe even a fellow Canadian and tag team partner who just signed up with the company. It should be a good night for fans of Y2J and of the Inner Circle.

Does Jinder Mahal have more charisma than Kenny Omega?

An Eggo waffle has more charisma than Kenny Omega in my opinion and Jinder, a former WWF Champion and truly under-rated superstar who needs to be working a program against Drew McIntyre, definitely has the Eggo beat. So that would be a yes. And I want some waffles.

Should Daniel Bryan be added to the WWE Universal Championship match at Wrestlemania against Roman Reigns and Edge?

Let’s wait and see how the match at Fast Lane with Roman versus Bryan goes first, but if we do end up with a three-way at Mania between these three guys, I would have no objections.

Bruiser Brody versus The Original Sheik. Who wins?

Brody has the strength and size advantage. Sheik is the master of the use of foreign objects and would be slicing and dicing worse than Wolverine on a bad acid trip. There would be no winners here. Only disqualifications or count-outs or maybe even a referee stoppage just because. If there has to be a winner, I think Brody would probably be the man given that call since he’d be the obvious fan favorite in a match between these two, but I think it would be a match so brutal and gory, no one would care about the finish in the end.

Thoughts on the tag team of Greg “The Hammer” Valentine and Terry Taylor?

Valentine and Taylor were two veterans who briefly teamed together for a short, forgettable run as the WCW United States Tag Team Champions back in 1992, defeating Ron Simmons & Big Josh to win the titles and then losing them to the Steiner Brothers a couple of months later. As a team, they were an odd pairing, but both were good workers and solid in that ring with lots of tag team experience in their backgrounds so the pairing worked. I’ve always been a fan of Valentine, but he owes me a couple of beers from Wilmington in 1996. I think he’s one of those guys who can make a solid team with almost anyone, kind of like Bobby Eaton or Arn Anderson. Taylor wasn’t quite the name that Valentine was, but he was a solid mid-card player. I don’t think this partnership would rank in the Top 5 for either man, but they got a title run and place in history as a result of the tag team so there’s no reason to knock it either.

Should AEW or WWE bring back the Six-Man Tag Team Championship titles?

There are way too many titles out there right now as it is so I would say no to this. AEW has large enough of a roster and regular factions that it could be used properly and make sense, but I’m just not a big fan of the six-man titles. That’s just me though.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions, feel free to drop me a line, and let’s talk. Until the next time, stay safe and take care. I’ll see you at the matches.
