Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Team RKBro, Alexa Bliss, Sting & More
May 4, 2021
Let’s talk professional wrestling. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. And away we go.
Wouldn’t it be cool to see Samoa Joe, Bo Dallas, Mickie James & Billie Kay return to WWE as Samoa Machine, Dallas Machine, Mickie Machine & Resume Machine?
It would be something out of a late ’80s flashback dream montage, but hell, I’d pop. Bring these men and women back and they can go after The Hurt Business and Shayna/Nia. And let the craziness take over. It would be a memorable and fun moment.
Thoughts on the new Riddle/Randy Orton tag team, RKBro?
It’s such a contrast in styles and personalities, I’m digging it so far. Despite his idiot character, Riddle is a hell of an in-ring performer and his style meshes well with that of the Apex Predator. Of course, Randy will eventually turn on Riddle and give him a RKO, but let’s hope that’s on down the road a bit. Right now, I think this team has legs and could make for some good matches and interesting times. Let’s see where it goes.
Who comes to mind when you hear the words “great chemistry”?
Flair/Steamboat was the first thing I thought about. I don’t think those two ever had a bad match with each other. Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels is another twosome that comes to mind. They may not have liked each other personally, but in that ring, they worked great together and each match was like a clinic in professional wrestling storytelling.
Thoughts on Alexa Bliss’s current storyline and character work?
I think Alexa as a character is charming, compelling, and is doing an excellent job of keeping her character mysterious and entertaining without going too far or getting too out there. Some of the things with her and Bray, aka The Fiend, have really stretched the ability to suspend belief, but the characters are strong and both have really seemed to find their niche, especially the talented Miss Bliss. I’m really interested in seeing where this all ends up going.
MJF or Miz? Who is better? Both have great mic skills, average wrestling ability, and similar gimmicks.
I see the common factors, but I can’t really call one better than the other. I think Miz is better in the ring, but that’s because he has far more experience. MJF is getting better with every match so he’s definitely not bad by any means and he’s got a strong future ahead of him. As for promos, I’ll give MJF the advantage only because he has more freedom with his promos than Miz, who is forced to stick more to the lines scripted by WWE so-called Creative. Both are excellent though and both are the real deal as great pro wrestlers.
Does anybody else think that Sting could step in and be the leader of the Dark Order?
It wouldn’t make any sense. Thus far, while being in AEW, Sting hasn’t shown the slightest interest in being a part of The Dark Order. Why would he suddenly change his mind and want to be a part of that team? I don’t see it happening.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions about anything wrestling or anything at all really, just feel free and drop me a line. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
