Impact Wrestling Slammiversary 2021
Thoughts & Predictions
July 16, 2021

Coming up on Saturday night, live from Nashville, TN, is Impact Wrestling and their 2021 edition of Slammiversary. It’s a big show (not Paul Wight) for the brand formerly known as TNA and of course, a big show (not Paul Wight) means predictions. Let’s put on the Sister Cleo act or instead, in honor of Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff, who passed away earlier this week, our Gary Spivey wigs. Are you ready for some predictions? Let’s do this.
Impact Wrestling Champion Kenny Omega with Don Callis vs. Sami Callihan.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m KennyOmega and belt-collectors out. Where are they going with this story and who really cares anymore? Omega may have helped spike the ratings for Impact Wrestling a little bit, but the bud is off the road and it’s time to have Impact Wrestling take their toys back home. And if that’s the case, what better person to do so than Sami Callihan? I’m sure that someone, maybe Hangman Adam Page, maybe Andrade, maybe Jungle Boy, hell maybe The Disco Inferno, wouldn’t that be cool, will get involved and cause a distraction to allow Callihan to get the pin and the title. Omega has to stay looking strong after all, but rest assured, I’m thinking that we’ll have a new Impact Champion at the end of the night and his name will be Sami Callihan.
Winner and NEW Impact Wrestling Champion: Sami Callihan
Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo vs. mystery challenger.
So who is the mystery challenger? Is it Gail Kim? Is it Mickie James? Is it Awesome Kong? Hell, is it Disco Inferno? I haven’t been following this as closely as I probably should have and have absolutely no idea. But it doesn’t matter who it is, the results will be the same. This belt stays with the champion, Deonna Purrazzo.
Winner and STILL Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion: Deonna Purrazzo
Ultimate X – Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion Josh Alexander vs. Ace Austin with Madman Fulton vs. Rohit Raju with Mahabali Shera vs. Petey Williams vs. Trey Miguel vs. Chris Bey.
It’s the return of Ultimate X and most likely, the crowning of a new champion for Impact Wrestling’s X-Division. The only question is who will it be? My gut says that Rohit Raju will surprise everyone and find a way to steal a win at the end. The gut is never wrong.
Winner and NEW X-Division Champion: Rohit Raju
Moose vs. Chris Sabin.
I keep hearing rumors that the WWE is interested in Moose and that his contract will be up soon. It’s just a bunch of rumors, but they are out there. So how does that affect this match? Sabin is a much-beloved veteran for Impact Wrestling and a former TNA Champion and if Moose might be leaving, there is no reason for him to win this match, is there? Sabin with the victory after a show-stealing match of the night. Watch and see.
Winner: Chris Sabin
Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions Fire N’ Flayva vs. Rosemary & Havok.
Rosemary & Havok are two strange ladies and guess what? I like strange ladies. Look for some new champions in an unexpected title switch as the Bizarre Ones put out the Fire and dilute the Flayva and score a win to take home some championship gold.
Winners and NEW Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions: Rosemary & Havok.
Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions Violent By Design will defend vs. The Good Brothers vs. TJP & Fallah Bahh vs. Rich Swann & Willie Mack.
While I expect Kenny Omega’s reign to end, I still think that the American version of the Bullet Club needs to keep some Impact Wrestling Gold in their ranks. Besides, who wants to argue with a team called The Good Brothers? How would that go? Not too good. Just ask Goober. (Obscure John Boy & Billy reference.) Gallows and Anderson arebringing the belts home.
Winners and NEW Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions: Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, aka The Good Brothers
W. Morrisey vs. Eddie Edwards.
He’s 7 foot tall and you can’t teach that. He’s on his way to being a star and you can’t teach that. He’s going to win this match on Saturday night and you can’t teach that. Hell, maybe we’ll see the return of Enzo? Who knows? But Mr. Morrisey is keeping his winning streak alive for another day.
Winner: W. Morrisey
Tenille Dashwood & Kaleb with A K vs. Matt Cardona and a mystery female competitor.
Didn’t Cardona and Dashwood use to date while in WWE as Emma and Zack Ryder? I’m pretty sure that they did. And that makes this match even more interesting as I’m thinking that Ryder’s mystery partner will be his current love interest, former Knockout’s Champion Chelsea Green, who was released from WWE not long after Cardona himself was. The current love versus the ex. CATFIGHT! Woo woo woo, you know it. This should be a fun match to see especially if the mystery partner is Green as speculated. Look for the one-time Broski and his Girlski to win here.
Winner: Matt Cardona & Mystery Partner
And there you go. My thanks for reading. So who do you think will be the winners and losers come tomorrow night at Slammiversary? Let me know in the comments or else give me a shout here at the site. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
