As you may or may not have noticed, time as of late has not been on my side. Between medical appointments, my job, failing vision, destroying what few relationships I have left in this world, the site has been wrongfully neglected. My apologies for that. I’ll try to do better. And it all begins now with a brand new edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

Chelsea Green says that she believes Tough Enough was fixed. Thoughts?

A promotion about wrestling by the WWE being fixed with a predetermined outcome and winner? Say it isn’t so. Actually, I’m inclined to agree with her. And really, who would be surprised? It’s the WWE and professional wrestling. It’s the nature of the beast and all it means is that kayfabe still lives, even if it’s just slightly. It’s not a big deal one way or the other.

What if Punk is the fifth and last labor of Jericho?

While that would be interesting, I can’t see Punk coming in as a subordinate or playing second fiddle to MJF and Jericho. Save that role for the one-and-done deals or past legends seeking one last big moment as they fade into the sunset. Punk is too big a deal for that kind of spot and I would expect more out of AEW and Punk for his possible upcoming debut.

Why does Jim Cornette hate AEW so much?

He doesn’t hate AEW so much as just when they do stupid stuff, are inconsistent in their presentation of the product, and constantly expose the business when it isn’t necessary. He has the same criticisms for WWE, ROH, MLW, and Impact Wrestling when they do something that he views as garbage wrestling or moronic. AEW just happens to do it more often and on a bigger scale than the other companies so we hear more about it from Cornette. When they do something good, he will remark on it and compliment it, but when they do something stupid, he calls them out on that as well. It’s not personal, but just a very opinionated man giving his thoughts and opinions, nothing more and nothing less.

Dudley Boyz vs. Road Warriors. No rules, no disqualifications. Who wins?

A tough call, but I think that the Road Warriors would end up taking this one.

Bruiser Brody versus Superstar Billy Graham? Who wins?

For this one, I’d go with Brody. Graham was the better entertainer, but Brody was just damn nuts and probably the all-around better performer in that ring.

If AEW 3 man tag-team championship belts are revealed in the future, which team would you want to be the first to win the belts?

I would like to see a makeshift team of Sammy Guevera, Fuego Del Sol, and Griff Garrison, the Sammy VLOG crew, as the first champions. Then they could lose the belts to Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Marko as things take a more serious turn for any potential six-man tag team championship.

Thoughts on Aiden English making his debut for Impact Wrestling as Drama King Matt?

I am glad to see the former NXT Tag Team Champion make his return to the wrestling ring and Impact Wrestling should be a good place for him to perform, especially with all of the recent crossovers with NJPW and AEW taking place. English is a good wrestler, a good talker, and did a great job working as an Announcer for the last part of his stint with WWE so he’s capable of any role that Impact may want to use him in. Maybe we’ll even see a brief reunion with Miro on AEW and English can sing Miro to the ring as he used to do in the old days. One can only hope. I’m glad to see him back in the ring again.

Thoughts on the WWE release of Bray Wyatt?

The world has gone crazy and this is proof. Yes, the Fiend character had quickly become stale, but that was due to the WWE booking and not Wyatt himself. He’s a good performer and very creative from all reports so I expect that he won’t be out of work for long and AEW should most likely try to snap him up if possible. Bray taking over as the leader of the Dark Order for his former family member, Brodie Lee? That makes sense and would be cool to see happen. I don’t know what Vince was smoking, but this termination just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Thoughts on the WWE release of Ric Flair?

Unlike Wyatt, Ric allegedly asked for his release and probably has his eyes on a quick payday from AEW or Impact. Flair was arguably one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, but he’s also someone who will do anything for a buck and has no self-respect. WWE wasn’t using him and having him around was actually doing a disservice to Charlotte, who deserves to be able to do things on her own and not buried in her father’s shoulder. I used to be a big Flair fan and for his in-ring exploits, I still am, but the man since his “retirement” has proven to be a disappointment time and time again. No big loss in my eyes.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
