Tazz versus Samoa Joe. Who wins?

While he was a big name for ECW, I have to be honest here that I’ve never really been a big fan of Tazz. I enjoyed his work as an announcer, but so far as in the ring goes, not so much. I’d give Joe this one and it would be a pretty quick win for the Samoan Submission Machine.

Are you excited for CM Punk to be joining AEW? What matchup/storyline would you like to see with Punk?

If Punk is allowed to do his own promos and create his own storylines, within reason, of course, I think he will be a very big asset for AEW and I am very pumped to see what he will be able to do in that promotion. As for who, how about an angle against MJF and the Pinnacle to start. Punk doing promos against MJF, FTR, and Tully Blanchard would be epic and the matches could be pretty good as well. Maybe a Punk/Inner Circle alliance and then when the feud against The Pinnacle has run its course, we get Punk versus Jericho and his group. Punk versus Christian sounds good to me as well.

After watching it for about a year now, are you still a fan of Orange Cassidy? If so, how?

I actually like Cassidy for the most part and find his matches entertaining. He’s more comedy than serious, but he’s adapted quite well over the past year and while the comedy spots are there, he’s able to put on a good match and work a serious role or spot when necessary as well. In my opinion, he’s AEW’s version of the Boogie Woogie Man, Jimmy Valiant, with a 2021 twist.He has a place and role in the company, along with his partners in the “Best Friends”. Not at the top of the card for sure, but there is a spot in the mid-card that he fills quite well in my opinion.

To make budget room for superior talent (that can draw), who should AEW release that would make zero difference to ratings or the show?

I’d hate to see anyone lose their jobs, but I do understand that sooner or later, especially if Tony Khan is going to keep bringing in former WWE talents and big names, that cuts will have to be made and talents released from their contracts. I don’t know who makes what or what the plans are for each talent so that’s a call that Khan and his staff should make, not me. I would get rid of Excalibur though.

Thoughts on Jody Hamilton, aka The Assassin?

One of the greatest masked wrestlers of the ’70s and ’80s and a true wrestling villain legend. The feuds with Dusty Rhodes, Mr. Wrestling II, and Jimmy Valiant are epic and the man is truly one of the greatest heels in the business.

Would you like to see Bo Dallas, Braun Strowman, and Erick Redbeard join Bray Wyatt as part of a new Wyatt Family in AEW?

A revamping of the Wyatt Family. Yeah, I’d like to see it. It’d be cool.

Thoughts on Beautiful Bobby Eaton?

One of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time and a true in-ring legend in every sense of the word. And more importantly, from all reports, one of the truly nicest guys to ever lace up a pair of boots. No one has anything bad to say about Bobby and in a business as cutthroat as pro wrestling, that is amazing in itself. I’ve never seen a bad Bobby Eaton match and he will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Beautiful Bobby Eaton. Midnight Express 4 Life!
