I’ve been washing clothes today. Two loads down and probably three more to go. I’ve been cleaning out my closet. Now I need a break. Let’s talk ‘rassling.
Regarding Rampage, does anyone else think that 4 people in the announcing booth is too many? I love AEW and trust their process but for me, too many voices make the presentation a little messy!
Four people can get very confusing and I agree that for my tastes, less is more. I prefer the two-man commentary teams and three-man teams are tolerable if everyone knows their role and when to shut their mouth, but four men at one table? Unless it’s a tag team doing guest commentary, that’s just too many in my opinion.
What’s your dream 8-man commentary booth for AEW Rampage?
Eight men in one booth is way too many, but I’ll give this a shot anyhow. How about Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Rich Landrum and Bob Caudle to do the play-by-play while Jim Cornette, Dutch Mantell, Bobby Heenan, and Ole Anderson provide the color commentary.
Does AEW need Ric Flair?
AEW doesn’t need Ric Flair, but all things considered, if they can get him on the roster, it’s not a bad thing and will give AEW another person they can rely on to fill air time, do publicity, and act as an Ambassador of sorts for the company. Just no wrestling, please!
Who do you want MIRO to face next?
MIRO versus Windham Rotundo has a nice ring to it, especially if Mr. Rotundo has his brother and two former teammates from his WWE days at his side as part of a new “family”.
Who would win a legit fight between Haku and Brock Lesnar in their prime?
Whoever owns the life insurance policies for both of these two men would be the big winner because they would be getting paid. As for the fight itself, I think Brock has a size, a strength, and an actual skill advantage. Haku just has the natural toughness and Samoan factor going for him. It would be a hell of a fight, but I think in the end, Brock would probably come out on top, but just barely.
Does Fuego Del Sol deserve to be All Elite?
Absolutely. The fans love this kid and he’s the best part of Sammy Guevera’s vlog by far. I’m just wondering why it took AEW so long to give the Master of the Tornado DDT a contract.
Bobby Eaton versus Barry Windham – who wins?
The two best natural workers of their era and this match would have been an absolute classic if it had been allowed to happen and featured as a highlight reel for both men to showcase their abilities. I think Windham would probably have been booked to win since he was the more prominent singles star, but the real winners would have been the fans who witnessed this event.
What are you most looking forward to? Summerslam or CM Punk return?
SummerSlam is a loaded card and I have no doubt that it will be a good show, but to be honest, I’m more excited about a return of CM Punk to weekly TV and the wrestling ring. That is going to be epic.
Who would you rather wrestle, Haku in a street fight or Nick Gage in a death match?
Nick Gage in the Death Match. I may end up ripped to shreds and hurting, but at least I’d be alive at the end of the match. With Haku, that really wouldn’t be a guarantee if I happened to screw up anything or make him mad. Better a few stitches than a pissed-off Samoan anytime.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, or any questions are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
