Does anyone have a chainsaw I can borrow? My freakin’ feet hurt. Let’s talk wrestling and do the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A.
Eddie Gilbert versus The Iron Sheik. Who wins?
As much love and respect as I had for “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert, the Iron Sheik had a great amateur background and was the much better in-ring performer by far. Iron Shiek wins.
Should WWE have a TV Championship?
While I’ve always been a fan of the idea of a TV title, it’s a dated concept and wouldn’t work well in today’s WWE, not even with three brands of talent. There are too many titles already and there’s no need to add another to the mix. I would say no.
Who do you think will end up defeating Christian for the Impact World Championship?
There’s a man named Matt. He’s the new King of the Death Matches courtesy of a recent title win over Nick Gage and he’s got a smoking hot girlfriend named Chelsea Green. He was once known as Zack Ryder and soon he’ll be known as the Impact World Heavyweight Champion. Woo woo woo – you know it!
Sonny Kiss versus Adrian Street. Who wins?
Sonny is an entertainer who plays a wrestler. Adrian Street was a wrestler who knew how to entertain. It wouldn’t even be close. Street plays for a while and then ties up Kiss to get an easy win.
How would you book Alexa Bliss to return to her pre-Fiend character?
How about having her friends pull an intervention to get her away from Lilly and bring in a legendary spoiled obnoxious Diva, I would love to see Missy Hyatt here along with a couple of others such as Alicia Fox and hell maybe Sable, to coach her back to being an entitled Diva. Imagine the skits and comedy vignettes. Or just show her waking up in a bed on an episode of Monday Night RAW saying that it was all just a dream and then never mention it again.
Jay lethal to NXT. Why would it be a good idea or why would it be a bad idea?
It wouldn’t work because Lethal is too old and too small for what Vince McMahon seems to be wanting now in NXT prospects. Lethal has been in the business way too long for Vince’s liking. If by some chance Lethal was to come to WWE for a while, he’d most likely take the AJ Styles route and go immediately to the main roster.
What’s your favorite gimmick match?
I was always a fan of the chain or strap matches back in the day. The dog-collar match with Piper versus Valentine at Starcade 83 was awesome and it would be fun to see if two modern-day stars could pull that one off as well.
What do you think about the current landscape of NXT going back to developmental and Triple H not having as much of an influence within the company as he used to?
While I can see McMahon’s point as to needing more talent that suits his tastes of bigger is better and larger than life, I think HHH being cut out of the picture is a bad decision on WWE’s part. HHH is a big part of WWE’s future and Vince needs to embrace that, not push him away. Vince needs to follow his own words and do what’s best for business and that means letting HHH handle NXT as a third brand that helps build stars for the future, not just a glorified Power Plant wannabe.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions you’d like to see addressed, feel free and give me a shout. Until the next time, take care and stay safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
