Let’s talk wrestling with the very best, no it’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Just wondering what AEW is doing with Jon Moxley at the moment. He seems to be moving down the roster order and isn’t getting much proper TV time. Is he carrying an injury? Or are they struggling to book him?
Right now, Moxley is taking a back seat in AEW and allowing the others to shine while he enjoys the experience of being a new father with his wife Renee Young. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and he’ll be back sooner rather than later. Let him enjoy his time because I’m sure that he’s figured into plans for AEW for quite a while to come.
Thoughts on Brock Lesnar’s return to the WWE at SummerSlam?
It was a surprise and I’m glad to see it. Roman versus Brock should be damn good, especially with the Paul Heyman factor figured into the equation. WWE pulled this off perfectly and I’m honestly happy about it and the return of The Beast.
What’s so great about CM Punk?
He left WWE on his own terms, came back to wrestling on his own terms, and he’s a great talker and story-teller who means a lot to a large number of fans. Punk makes AEW better with his presence and it’s going to be fun to see what happens next.
With all the veteran male wrestlers being brought in to help with the younger guys; should Tony Khan start doing the same for the women’s division?
Bringing in some strong female names to add strength to the Women’s roster is a great idea. I think AJLee might be available and I’m sure that Lisa Marie Varon might be willing to come out of retirement for one more match.
No doubt AEW has a nice collection of talent and I see nothing wrong with signing guys like Punk, Danielson, and the artist fka Bray Wyatt, but is anyone else concerned the roster might be starting to get oversaturated?
It is a large roster of talent and I agree that it might be easy for someone to get lost in the shuffle, but hopefully, AEW has planned for that and can find a way to make sure that there is time for everyone to get a place on the shows. Three shows give them a lot of TV time to play with, but it’s going to be a task to make sure that the right people get pushed and not lost in the mix. I know a lot of the talent isn’t under contract and works based on appearances and a day-to-day situation so that helps, but sooner or later, cuts will have to be made and the roster thinned out. It can’t continue with this many people and be fair to everyone.
Who is a better storyteller? Chris Jericho or Kenny Omega?
It’s not even close here. Jericho by a mile.
And there you go. Any comments, thoughts, or questions you’d like to ask, feel free and drop me a line. Until the next time, stay safe and take care. I’ll see you at the matches.
Ubuntu!
I can’t wait to see Punk vs. Omega!! It has 5 star written all over it!
I agree. It’ll be a fun match for sure. I just hope they don’t rush it and let it build slowly, create some tension there first instead of just jumping into it immediately. Let Punk “prove himself” first while Omega remains in denial about the elephant in the room and the inevitable feud. A slow build with a big payoff would definitely be the way to go with these two.
