Let’s do that Q&A thing. Damn, it’s too early for this.

Thoughts on Samoa Joe vacating the NXT Championship?

I hate to see it happen since I was interested in seeing what Joe would do with the title this time around and how the WWE would build the new NXT around the veteran champion, but from what I’ve read, it’s due to injuries and not being able to compete, the same kind of issues that kept Joe on the shelf the majority of the past couple of years. Joe’s health is more important than the NXT Championship and hopefully, he’ll have a speedy recovery and maybe back on the main roster. I think a Joe versus Roman match might be fun to see.

Debrah Miceli aka Madusa aka Alundra Blayze, recently said she’d be open to a retirement match. Who would you like to see her step into the ring with, one last time?

It’s a tough call, but I think Madusa is an outstanding wrestler and having one match on her own terms, would be cool. For an opponent, this is off the top of my head, but how about Mickie James? Or if they want just a current name that could carry Madusa to a great match, how about Chelsea Green? Either would work fine for me.

Ryback is teasing a return to the ring after a three-year absence. Do you want to see him back and if so, where?

Ryback should stay exactly wherever he is and stay retired. He does this every year or so and teases a return to the ring to absolutely no interest. And guess what? There still isn’t any interest. Give it up Ryback.

What’s a gimmick that everyone else hated, but you loved?

Alex Wright and The Disco Inferno as the “Boogie Nights”, aka The Dancing Fools. The guys were over like Rover and always put on entertaining matches and interviews. Very few fans will admit their love for the dancing duo, but I think they were excellent. And remember, it’s your duty to shake your booty.

With Adam Cole now part of The Elite in AEW, should his real-life partner, Dr. Britt Baker join the group as well?

Dr. Britt Baker is doing fine doing her own thing as the AEW Women’s Champion. She doesn’t need to be part of any faction, and especially not one where she would be overshadowed and relegated to being a supporting character like The Elite. Let them both do their own thing.

Which wrestler do you wish you could’ve seen wrestle during your lifetime?

I was fortunate to see many legends and great wrestlers growing up, but I never had the chance to see Harley Race live and in person. Nor did I get to see Dusty Rhodes perform live and in person. Those are two right there.

Does AEW need a Hardcore Championship?

Nope, I don’t think so.

Was MJF’s promo on Brian Pillman Jr,’s family over the line and too much?

It was very touchy and over the line in many ways, but I’m sure that Pillman’s family was okay with it and it felt real, something that is missing far too often in wrestling these days. Given the character of Flyin’ Brian, I’m sure he would have approved, and if it helps to take Brian Pillman Jr. to the next level and get a strong push as well, even better. It was controversial and hard to watch, but I think in this case, that’s probably a good thing.

If Tony Khan didn’t have Cody, Kenny, and the Bucks and went it alone in AEW would it be as successful as it is?

If he had gone it alone, AEW probably wouldn’t be nearly as successful as it has been, but Khan is not a dumb man and if his partners-in-crime hadn’t been Cody and The Elite, I’m sure that he would have found some other big names to help him get things started and moving along. Someone would have stepped in and filled the spot for the help Khan would be needing.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have, please feel free and give me a shout. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
