We’re playing catch-up. Let’s talk about the King of Sports, pro wrestling, Ultimate Wrestling Q&A style. Let’s do this.
How much of a travesty is it that the Gunn Club are undefeated and still haven’t been given a tag team title shot? AEW says wins and losses matter so give them a go.
I keep forgetting that they’re even there on the roster. Billy Gunn and his two sons are talented and I can see a future for the two youngsters, but a shot at the tag team titles? Maybe as a throw-away match for one of the shows, but I doubt if it’s high on the list of priorities for AEW right now. It may happen eventually, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting.
Should there be a wrestling super show every four years like the Olympics where the current “alliance” feds (NJPW, AEW, Impact, and AAA) have their own respective tournaments and then send their representatives to the super show?
It sounds very complicated and convoluted and I can’t see any major companies making that kind of commitment. It’s a novel idea and would be interesting to see, but I just can’t see it happening.
If you could start your own wrestling federation with three stars from WWE, three stars from AEW, three stars from Impact Wrestling, three Independent stars (free agents), three commentators, and three legends, who would your roster of talent be?
From the WWE, I’d want Seth Rollins, Asuka & Paul Heyman. From AEW, let’s go with CM Punk, Sammy Guevera, and MJF. Impact Wrestling would provide, Chelsea Green, Matt Cardona, and The Good Brothers. My Indy stars/free agents would be Sammy Love, Michael Youngblood, and Windham Rotundo. For commentary, I’d want Joey Styles, Corey Graves, & Renee Young. And finally, my legends would be Lisa Moretti (Ivory), Arn Anderson, and James E. Cornette.
Will Jeff Hardy ever get the main event push again?
With the current WWE draft, he was drafted to Smackdown as of last night so there is always hope. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Luna Vachon versus Asuka. Who wins?
This would be an awesome match that could blow away almost any guy’s match out there. It’d also be stiff and I’m sure that there would be a potato or two thrown. As for the final outcome, as much as I loved Luna, and believe me, I did, the Empress would come out on top.
Would a Dark Order break up benefit or harm those in the group?
Right now, I think it would do more harm than good. At least as part of a unit, the men and women of the Dark Order are relevant and have a story and purpose. Cut free and on their own, I think most would get lost in the shuffle that is AEW.
Do you have high hopes for Bron Breakker? Besides that stupid name change, Rex Steiner was a really good name!
WWE wants to own the rights to the name of any character they develop or have on their TV so I get the name change, but yeah, that new one is very dumb. But for the man behind the name, Steiner is a very good performer and will do very well in my opinion. He’s a future star just looking for his moment.
How do you think Bray Wyatt should debut in AEW if he does go there?
How about different wrestlers on the AEW roster getting mysterious notes and texts and all with a date and time and the message, “Be there!”. Make it random, but build it up over a period of weeks or months. Have everyone confused about it or refusing to talk, but then the day and time come, and all the wrestlers that have been contacted standing in the ring on live TV and the lights go out and when they come back on, Windham Rotundo, using whatever persona or character he’s planning to use as part of AEW is there. He gives his spiel as a good cult leader would and wants these people to be part of his family. Some walk away. Some accept. A new “Family” is formed with Bray as the leader and let all others beware. And there you go.
After the success of Kofi and now Big E becoming the champ do you think Woods will ever get a meaningful singles run?
I think it’s only a matter of time. In my opinion, I think Xavier is probably the best of the three in being the complete package and while I can’t see him as the WWE or Universal Champion, I can definitely see the U.S. or Intercontinental Championship in his future at some point.
Who wins in a fight: Miro or a grizzly bear?
That poor bear. Miro Crush! Miro Smash! Miro win!
Is it disrespectful to have Bray come in and manage the Dark Order? Or is he the only suitable person for the role?
He would be the right man for the role, but I hope that Bray and AEW, if that is where he ends up coming, go in a different direction, as I mentioned above.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
