Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
CM Punk, Liv Morgan, WALTER & More

I’m having a bad day. Let’s make things better with some blues music (playing on my computer) and wrestling. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Who would win in an ‘I quit’ shoot match – Vince Russo or Jim Cornette?
This wouldn’t even be close and would be extremely enjoyable to see. Jim Cornette repeatedly bashes Russo in the head with a loaded tennis racket, while Russo is screaming again and again, “I quit bro! I quit!”. Damn, I’m picturing that image in my head and I feel better already.
Next 5 AEW champs?
I assume you mean the next five after Omega gives up his grip on the AEW World Championship. How about Adam Page, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and then finally MJF.
You are in a three-way tag match versus The Young Bucks and Adam Cole. Who are are the people you’d want to have in your tag team?
Well, if I’m in the ring as a wrestler, I need two damn good partners because I know I couldn’t do anything in the ring in a physical sense so I’ll just settle for two men who are as big as three and as damn good. The late, great Brian Adams and Mr. Bryan Clark. Some cashing checks and breaking necks. It’s all about Kronik! RIP BA. Miss you bud!
Are you satisfied with the usage of CM Punk thus far in AEW?
I actually am because he’s working as the silent threat, getting himself back on track, having a presence every week, but he’s not being seen as a big threat by Omega for the AEW title. So when Punk does decide to make his move, he’ll have an advantage of surprise from hiding in plain sight and waiting to strike. I think using him like this is the better long-range option than rushing him immediately into main events.
Name one thing about wrestling you love, and one thing you hate?
One thing I love is the larger-than-life characters and sheer athleticism we see each time the men and women of professional wrestling step into a ring. And what I hate is when it gets so unreal and cartoony that it’s impossible to suspend our belief and instead of something entertaining, we just get something stupid instead.
Why does WWE hate Liv Morgan?
I don’t get this one myself. Morgan is good-looking, a good worker in that ring, and gets a huge pop every time she comes to the ring. The fans love her, but when she does get a match, she’s buried almost immediately. It’s as if she’s got heat with someone in management or in a position of power, but WWE would never be that petty, right? Right?
If you could create a belt/championship – what would it be?
This one is tough right now because I look at AEW and WWE and to be honest, there are far too many titles out there right now and neither company needs another title belt. I could see a creation of a Trios/Six-Man Tag Team Championship for AEW, but I think that’s already in the works if all the rumors are correct. I was always a fan of the Television Championship back in the old Crockett Territory so how about a TV title for the WWE. One week, the champ could be on RAW, the next on Smackdown, the next on NXT, and then repeat, plus a title defense at every pay-per-view as well. It wouldn’t be for a WWE brand, but for all the televised events instead. Put a ten-minute time limit on each match and give the lower and mid-card guys another belt to pursue.
What would you like to see Walter do next or how would you book him?
I’d just keep WALTER over on NXT UK doing what he’s doing until the Monday after Wrestlemania and then, Roman Reigns can come to TV, fresh after a victory over The Rock, validating his role the Tribal Cheif, and then when he lists off all the people he’s “smashed”, he can do a Goldberg and ask, “Who’s next?”. And then WALTER comes out and we know the answer. How’s that for a plan? WALTER versus ROMAN? Works for me.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care of yourself and stay good. I’ll see you at the matches.
