It’s Friday, and you know what that means? AEW Rampage tonight and a lot of WWE superstars looking for new jobs today. Eight more talents were released from WWE last night. What the hell? Is Vince off his meds or just a dumb-ass? We’ll address that later, but for now, it’s time to do not only a Q&A but the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. And now, let’s get busy and do this.

Which current AEW star do you think is a guaranteed future world champion, yet their name never seems to be in the conversation?

I think we’ll eventually see Miro wearing that belt for a few months and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jake Hager eventually get a push and a crack at the title. He’s a former WWE Champion after all and MMA fighter as well. He could easily make the transition to the top guy and AEW Champion if given the right push.

I was in the crowd last night for dynamite and it felt like WE turned Bryan heel. Do you think it’s because it was in Hangman’s home state or because he’s actually making a character change?

I think it was a combination of both. Bryan is making subtle changes to his character, being slightly more edgy and assertive, but I doubt we’ll see him do a full-fledged heel turn. No hanging out with MJF or Tully Blanchard and FTR and no foreign objects hidden in the trunks, but more of a guy who will do whatever it takes to be successful and get that top spot as the AEW Champion.

If you could work with any superstar from any era, who would your dream match be against?

I’d love to go against Ric Flair in his prime. I know I’d lose and my chest would be blistered from the chops, but Ric would make me look like a million bucks in the process.

Do you think it would be a good idea for Ring of Honor to allow their titles to be defended on other shows to keep the name relevant whilst they are on hiatus?

I think that would actually be a good idea, to enter into a relationship with AEW, Impact, NWA, or WWE and keep their name and champions relevant while they restructure and figure out what the future holds. I hope that someone in ROH realizes that and starts making some arrangements to do exactly that.

Is the ‘Heel’ and ‘Face’ Dynamic a thing of the past, or do you think it still has a place in modern-day pro wrestling?

I don’t think it’s as important as it once was, but it’s basic common-sense storytelling with good versus bad and adds a lot to the product and the fan reactions. There’s nothing wrong with tweeners who walk the line a bit, but heels versus face will always have a place in professional wrestling.

What do you think the future holds for NXT UK? Do you think it will be rebranded to marry up with its American counterpart?

I think it’s just a matter of time before it’s either rebranded or closed down entirely. A few of the top stars such as WALTER and Iija Dragunov would be worked into the main roster, but the rest will probably end up like the Unfortunate * from last night and wished well in the future endeavors. If I was a part of NXT UK, I’d be very nervous right now.

When/If Edge pops back up on our screens who would you have him feud with?

I can’t remember if Edge is on RAW or Smackdown, but if/when he returns, I’d like to see Edge and Kevin Owens go a few rounds. Edge versus Shinsuke Nakamura would be fun to see as well, and what the hell. How about Edge versus Sami Zayn. Just for the promos, that would be awesome.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Thoughts, comments, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. So until the next time, take care and be safe. Watch out for RKO’s from out of nowhere. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
