Are you ready for some football? Well if you are, go turn on ESPN and have a good time. We’re all about the wrestling here. Professional wrestling, that is. It’s the best thing going on today. And this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. It all starts now.
What happened to Elias? Is his vanishing part of the “Elias is dead” gimmick?
I’ve answered this before a few weeks ago and guess what? I still have no idea where Elias is or why he hasn’t been on TV lately. There is a 25-man Battle Royal that’s just been added to the Survivor Series pay-per-view on Sunday and maybe he’ll show back up then. With all the recent releases, the WWE is going to be scraping around for all the talent they can find just to fill the ring for that match. WWE is supposed to stand for Walk With Elias. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
What is the most “fun” wrestling gimmick of all time, and why is it The Blue Meanie?
I’m sorry and no offense to Mr. Meanie, who I do enjoy and am a big fan of, but two other names came to mind when I saw this question. One is going back to the early ’80s and the Boogie Woogie Man, Jimmy Valiant. Every appearance in front of a live audience was always a guaranteed good time that made the fans happy. And the funniest wrestling gimmick, the award goes to Mr. R-Truth. If you can watch an R-Truth segement and not crack a smile, you don’t have a soul. Even Brock Lesnar broke up on live TV at the antics of this man. Ron Killings, aka R-Truth. He’s the number one of fun… and that is the truth!
Which Danielson vs Dark Order match are you looking forward to the most?
As most people know, Bryan Danielson said that, as they build towards his match with Adam Page, that he’ll wrestle ever member of the Dark Order. He’s already defeated Evil Uno and was scheduled to face Colt Cabana on Rampage. The one match I want to see though is The American Dragon versus John Silver. They’re comparable in size, both men have great followings, both men can really work, and it’s just going to be a fun match to see. Silver is a future big star and if AEW had a Cruiserweight Division, Silver would be all over on top. It’s true. So Bryan Danielson versus John Silver. That’s my choice.
If the characters from Friends were in an over-the-top-rope rumble, who would win?
Joey. Always go with Joey. How you doing?
Which wrestlers are so far as the ones to watch out for in 2022?
John Silver, Fuego Del Sol, Dominick Mysterio, Wardlow & Ripper Zbyszko.
What is the best stipulation or gimmick match?
For me, I always enjoyed the street fights where the guys actually dressed in street clothes, used the plunder and weapons, and winning was done by a pinfall or submission. Yeah, it’s the same as a “Falls Count Anywhere” or “No DQ” match by today’s standards, but call it a street fight and let the guys fight. That’s what I want to see.
Are the Road Warriors the greatest tag team ever?
So long as teams like the Midnight Express, The Hart Foundation, The Anderson Brothers, Tully & Arn, Demolition, FTR, and the Boogie Knights exist, The Road Warriors have some major competition as to who is the best tag team of all time. They’re good and definitely belong in anyone’s Top Ten, but I can’t call them the best, not in my opinion anyhow.
Ric Flair, age 72, says he wants to wrestle again? Should he be allowed to have one more match and if so, then who should his opponent be?
Ric should not be allowed to wrestle again. He (Ric) is his own worst enemy sometimes and considering what his body has been through over the past few years, stepping into that ring for a full match is just asking for something bad to happen. But if it was to happen and some heartless promoter was to sign this match, anxious to make a quick buck, I’d put MJF as his opponent. That way, when MJF buries Ric in a matter of seconds, it would be seen as passing the torch and be putting Maxwell over big time as the vicious and evil heel who beats up old people. Whoever it may be, just make the match short and make sure the right person wins. And that’s not Flair.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Just drop me a line. Until the next time, stay good and be safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
