In a world full of questions, there is a man who brings them forward and isn’t afraid to ask. His name is Casper and he’s on Twitter at @ghostly_host. And since he’s asking, I’m taking the initiative and providing answers, to some of them anyhow. It’s Questions By Casper and it all starts now.

Where do you see yourself 5 years ago?

Five years ago? I was definitely working at the liquor store, doing volunteer work at the Food Bank, chillaxin’ with my bro and his mini-me quite often, writing a lot of Days Of Dougie columns, and watching a lot of wrestling in my spare time. Pretty much the same as now, except for I’m not working due to medical issues, not working at the Food Bank anymore for the same reasons, rarely see my bro even though we text regularly, still writing every day though, and watching some wrestling, but usually just on YouTube after reading the recaps instead of every night on the TV.

What is the cleanest job you’ve ever had?

Probably my job keeping up my site and acting as an internet wrestling journalist, whatever the hell that is. It’s hard to get too dirty while sitting in front of a computer all day.

What is your favorite kid’s meal?

I like the Chicken Nuggies, with the fries and a cookie. Where my Happy Meal at? And don’t forget my toy.

What is your favorite movie of all time?

A very tough call and it’s hard to pick just one. I have several go-to movies that I’ve watched repeatedly and always enjoy such as Airplane, Police Academy, Dogma, Rent!, Blazing Saddles, East Of Eden, etc. Favorite of all time though? I’ll go with Clerks. I could have written that movie, but Kevin Smith beat me to it. That was my life for so long. I never played hockey on the roof of my job, but the rest of it, absolutely. 36? ‘Nuff said!

What is your all-time favorite song?

It changes day to day since I listen to so many different types of music and music genres. I guess I’ll play it safe with Alice Cooper’s “I Never Cry”. That’s me. “Save Me” by Jelly Roll is a very recent second-place. Great music by some very talented performers.

What is your favorite space-centered TV show?

Would Rick & Morty count? It’s not really my favorite, but my two favorite cool dudes love it. For me though, I’ll wimp out and go with Star Tre… I changed my mind. The Lost Saucer starring Jim Nabors & Ruth Buzzi. Don’t remember it? Look it up. You’ll be glad you did.

What is your favorite month of the year?

It used to be October, but as of this past year, October totally sucked ass so it’s no longer my favorite. I’ll go with November. It’s a cool month and we eat a lot at Thanksgiving. Food is our friend. So there you go.

Have you ever eaten buffalo?

I have, both in the beef jerky form and burgers that were allegedly made of buffalo. Not bad, but no biggie either.

What is your favorite store-bought dessert?

Pecan pie. It’s way too much work to make one, but damn, them things are good.

What is your favorite body wash scent?

There was one that I found many years ago, a Holiday Scent special edition, that I loved, but could never find again after that one year. Now I’ll generally stick with Vanilla scented or regular Suave flavor. I smell like a man!

What is the easiest meal to skip during the day?

Breakfast. Who has time to cook or eat that early in the day? I’m a busy person with things to do.

What is the easiest meal to make?

I don’t eat regular meals, but instead, just grab something when I’m hungry or throw something together when I’m bored and feel like snacking. I’m actually a pretty proficient cook so they’re all easy for me.

How long of a day is a long day to you?

If I have to wake up and have things to do, it’s a long day. I prefer the nightlife. I want to boogie.

How old do you have to be before you can start saying “Remember the good ole days?”?

I’m not sure when it started, but I’ve been remembering the good old days for quite a while now. I think it started in my mid-twenties.

How long is your attention span?

If I can focus and zone out the rest of the world, it can last indefinitely, but for 99.999995% of things, about thirty seconds tops.

If I left the door open, would you shut it?

I’d close it while at the same time, throw a dirty look in your direction, followed by either a sigh or a smart-ass comment.

What is your favorite grown-up meal?

Steak, shrimp, fries, slaw, and hush-puppies, with a cold adult beverage on the side. Good stuff.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. It’s time to go take my meds and get some breakfast. Until the next time, take care and stay warm. It’s cold out there right now. I’ll catch you in a little bit.

Ubuntu!
