Man, it is a beautiful day outside. We had snow all night long and it’s covering everything. Talk about a winter wonderland and we have it. I wouldn’t want to have to be outside for any reason in that mess, but luckily, we stocked up on food, drinks, bread, milk, and liquor all before this winter storm hit. We’re good. And I hope that all of you reading this are as well. These past few years have been hard on everyone and we’re all due some good times, happy days, and awesomeness in our lives. Maybe now is when it all begins. One can only hope.

So what is on the agenda for today? I need to wash my clothes. Bleh! And I plan on watching Season 2 of The Titans on HBO Max. Yes, it’s an exciting day to be sure. I may even drink a shot or two of liquor. If anyone cares to join me, just swing by. But before I do all of that, let’s get that Magic Bag and do some random writing about whatever topics that the bag offers up. Does that sound like a plan or what?

So here we go. We have the bag and the topics of discussion for today are Atlantis, Teapots, and Linus on Christmas. I could have used that last one about a month or so ago when I was doing the Christmas Days Of Dougie series, but better late than ever, right? So let’s take a deep breath, a swallow of Dew Zero, and let’s get busy. Or as we say in the ditches, let’s do this.

Atlantis…

The lost continent. The magical nation beneath the sea. The place where Aquaman and Prince Namor both rule, depending upon what brand of comics you choose to believe. Is it real? Did it really exist millions of years ago? Does it really exist now? A world of questions about a questionable world. And if it did or does exist, would you want to visit or live there? For me, it’s a questionable maybe. How would it compare to life as we surface-dwellers know it? Could we even survive there or would we die quickly, either from the lack of air or just the pressure? And do they really have blue skin like the Smurfs? Maybe one day we’ll know all the facts if it is real or ever was, but I don’t think it will be in my lifetime. Too bad because a world of fish-people, would be pretty damn cool. ‘Nuff said!

Teapots…

All I can really think of about teapots is the whistling sound that they make and the little song and dance about the little teapot. I would do it for you, but this is a written format so my movements and singing wouldn’t translate well here. So we’ll just do a video. I love YouTube. Enjoy.

Linus On Christmas…

We have all seen the cartoon, A Charlie Brown Christmas, right? And towards the end of the show, Charlie Brown, obviously frustrated, want to know what Christmas is all about. And here comes Linus, stepping up to tell Charlie Brown just exactly what Christmas really is all about. From what I understand, CBS didn’t want this scene in the cartoon, but the creator of Peanuts, Charles Shultz, insisted. I’m glad he did. And what did Linus say? Here’s the video. You’re welcome.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions you may have about anything I have written or any suggestions about what I should write about, feel free and drop me a message, either here in the comment box, or at my e-mail of Doug28352@yahoo.com. And with that, I’ll take my leave and bid you a fond adieu. Take care and stay safe. I’ll see you on the next go-round.
