I just woke up from a long nap. It was only supposed to last for an hour. It lasted six. Oy vey! I’m going to be up all night. Oh well, before I do that, let’s do this. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s go.

If you had to pick your All-Time favorite wrestling announcer, who would it be?

There are so many good ones to choose from such as Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Michael Cole, Gordon Solie, Lance Russell, and many others, but my all-time favorite will always be the voice of my childhood, the voice of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, Mr. Bob Caudle.

Thoughts on Sgt. Craig “Pitbull” Pittman?

I remember him well and he had a good, distinct look. He was part of WCW in the early ’90s, throwing everything out there to see what worked, and here came this intense beast of a man, a poor man’s Sgt. Slaughter if you will. He had some good matches, but nothing really memorable. I remember that he had Teddy Long as a manager, but that really didn’t help him much. He was a mid-card guy for a while and then did a few jobs and vanished.WCW could have used him better and made a bigger star out of him, but as I said earlier, that was WCW and it wasn’t a good time for the company. The Pitbull? We’ll suffice it to say he could have been a contender. ‘Nuff said!

Thoughts on PJ Black?

PJ Black, formerly known as Justin Gabriel in the WWE, was a part of Tough Enough and The Nexus and had, in my opinion, all the tools to be a solid, upper mid-card player. He had a good look, was good in that ring, and had a strong “it” factor, but WWE being WWE, just left him sitting in Catering more often than not and rarely used him. After leaving WWE, he’s had some good moments in ROH and working international events. He’s just one of those guys who you have to look at and wonder, “What if?” He should have been bigger than he was. There’s still time and he’s still relatively young so maybe he’ll get a second chance at some point. One can only hope.

There are rumors that William Regal has signed with Impact Wrestling. Thoughts?

Impact Wrestling could certainly use his former Lordship, but Regal’s official Twitter has already denied this rumor. I suspect that if he does end up somewhere else besides back at WWE, once Vince comes to his senses, AEW is more likely. They need a strong backstage influence to help manage things and work with the talent and Regal would be perfect for that role. My guts though say that we’ll see Regal back in WWE and maybe even in the Hall of Fame before the year is ended. Just a gut feeling but we’ll have to wait and see. I just can’t see him at Impact Wrestling though.

Greatest NWA World champion ever?

So many names come to mind like Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Jack Brisco, Lou Thesz, Terry Funk, Dan Severn, Nick Aldis, and many others, but the man I consider the GOAT when it comes to wearing the famed “Ten Pounds of Gold”? The toughest man on God’s green earth, Harley Race. He was a man’s man, a wrestler’s wrestler, and a champion’s champion. So 8-time NWA Champion Harley Race is my pick. And there you go.

Why in the world do you think WWE would make Ali stay when he so wants out?

Because they don’t want AEW to have him. It really is that simple sometimes.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, or any questions you may have, I’d love to hear them, so drop me a line. Until the next time, take care and be safe. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
