Thoughts & Predictions
February 19, 2022

Coming up on Saturday, February 19, 2022, live from Saudi Arabia, with a start time of 12:00 noon, live on the WWE Network and Peacock, it’s the 20th Annual WWE Elimination Chamber event. It’s a stacked card, as well as the last premium live event by WWE leading into Wrestlemania. Are you ready for a few predictions? Let’s do this.
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Austin Theory vs. Riddle vs. Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles inside the Elimination Chamber.
Let’s go ahead and eliminate all of the people who will not win out of the picture. It will not be Austin Theory, Riddle, Seth Rollins, or AJ Styles walking out of this event with the WWE Championship in their hands. So that comes down between The Almighty and The Beast. I would like to see Lashley win here and have a long run as the WWE Champion, but WWE has booked themselves into a hole here. If Lashley does win, it makes Brock Lesnar look weak in comparison and with Brock facing Roman at Mania, he can not be allowed to look weak or suffer a clean loss. So unless we get a bunch of interference and an ambush by The Bloodline to take Brock out, Brock has to win here. But if it takes outside interference to keep the belt on Lashley, that makes Bobby look weak. Neither is best for business. I’ll go with Brock winning so we can have title versus title at Mania.
Winner and NEW WWE Champion: Brock Lesnar
Rhea Ripley vs. Nikki A.S.H. vs. Doudrop vs. Bianca Belair (entering last) vs. Liv Morgan vs. Alexa Bliss inside The Elimination Chamber. The winner will earn a Raw Women’s Championship match at Wrestlemania 38.
Bianca is the favorite to win, but I’d much rather see someone else take the triumph and head to that big match at Mania. Nikki, Liv, and Doudrop are not going to win. That’s pretty obvious. Ripley looked great Monday night, wrestling over 40 minutes in the gauntlet match, so there’s a slight possibility that she could win here, but I don’t think she will. So that leaves Bianca and Alexa Bliss. I’d love to see Alexa win and get back into the title picture. Unfortunately, she won’t be the one. Look for Bianca to win and we get Bianca versus Becky at Mania.
Winner: Bianca Belair
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman vs. Bill Goldberg.
An easy night for the Tribal Chief as he lets Goldberg blow himself up in about two minutes and then moves in to take him out. Maybe we’ll luck out and get a Brock run-in and he can lay Roman out to give Goldberg the win? Then we can have Brock versus Roman at Mania for the WWE title, while new Universal Champion Goldberg can defend at Mania against Lashley? That works for me, but it won’t happen. Roman wins.
Winner and STILL WWE Universal Champion: Roman Reigns w/Paul Heyman
WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Lita.
This should be an interesting match and I expect that we’ll see Lita give it her all, but the outcome is easy to predict here.
Winner and STILL WWE Raw Women’s Champion: Becky Lynch
WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair & Sonya Deville vs. Ronda Rousey & Naomi. (Rousey will wrestle with one arm tied behind her back.)
So Ronda gets to be handicapped and teams with Naomi to take on Charlotte and Sonya. It should be an interesting match, but I think the outcome is pretty easy to predict. Sonya is just here to eat the fall.
Winners: Ronda Rousey & Naomi
WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The Viking Raiders.
I’ve nothing against Erik and Ivar, but I don’t think this one is in much doubt either. The belts are staying right where they’re at.
Winners and STILL WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions: The Usos
Falls Count Anywhere: Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss.
Anything goes here, so you know that Happy Corbin will get involved at some point. That being said, Drew is a former WWE Champion and until very recently, was the face of the company. Drew shouldn’t lose here unless he’s actually more legit injured than they’re saying or it’s to put a new kid over and set up a match between Drew and Corbin at Mania. Yeah, let’s go with that. Due to help from the Happy One, let’s give Moss the win.
Winner: Madcap Moss
Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz.
I’ve heard rumors that the match penciled in for Miz at Mania is against Dominik Mysterio, and if that’s the case, Miz has to have a reason to fight Dominik, right? Well, if Miz lays out Dom’s daddy, Dom will want revenge, right? Sounds like a plan to me. So the only question is, does Miz lay them out before or after this match? Let’s have Dom get involved, give his Daddy a little help to get a victory, and then Miz gets payback by laying Dom or Rey (or both) out after the match. Works for me.
Winner: Rey Mysterio
There will be a Kickoff Show at 11:00 am, EST so I’m sure that WWE will add one more match to show during that hour to warm the crowd up, and as soon as I hear what that match is, I’ll come back and edit it into these predictions if I’m able.
And there you go. So am I right or wrong with my guesses? Who do you think will be walking out with their arms raised on Saturday? Let me know in the comments. And if you have any comments, thoughts, or questions, I want to hear those too. Until the next time, take care of yourself and be safe. I’ll see you at the matches.
