Time only fears the pyramids… and the legends of professional wrestling. Let’s do the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

If someone asked you how many women do you think Ric Flair has slept with, what number would you give?

Slept with? How many ex-wives does he have? Five exes, so I’d say actually sleeping with, about 15 or so. As for how many he’s had sexual relations with, that number is much higher. Nearly fifty years of styling, profiling, and walking that aisle. Space Mountain, it’s the oldest ride in the park, but with the longest lines. I’d say in the area of high hundreds to a thousand or so. Woooooo!

Do you remember a guy named Otto Wanz? Thoughts on the former AWA World Champion?

Otto Wanz was a top wrestler in Germany and Austria who ran his own promotion and was a top star for several years. So far as the AWA World Championship run, the thing I’ve always heard is that he wanted that credibility that being a World Champion would give him and his promotion so he paid Verne Gagne something like $50,000 and Verne had Nick Bockwinkel drop the title to Wanz in a match in Minnesota. Wanz made a few defenses of the belt and then dropped it back to Bockwinkel a few weeks later. Otto then was able to put AWA World Champion on his resume, the AWA owner made some money, and it was a win-win for everyone involved.

Your Mt. Rushmore of Top Heels? Top Babyfaces?

For top heels, I’d go with Ole Anderson, Ivan Koloff, Roddy Piper, and Harley Race. For my top babyfaces, I’d say Jimmy Valiant, Rick Steamboat, Bob Backlund, and Dusty Rhodes.

Any chance of Nikki ASH vs. Mighty Molly in a superhero showdown at Wrestlemania?

After the way that Nikki attacked Molly at the Royal Rumble match, I can see WWE going with this as a filler match for Mania. I haven’t heard any mention of this or any indication that it might happen, but since Molly does work as an agent for WWE and is backstage every night, it may just be that they haven’t gotten to it yet. But the original super-hero sidekick versus an almost super-hero? I’d like to see that. And maybe bring in The Hurricane as a guest referee? That would be super!

Tony Khan has said that there’s a “big announcement” coming up this Wednesday on Dynamite. Any guesses as to what it might be?

It could be the debut of Cesaro, but Tony also said that it wasn’t a person this time, but an announcement about something. Maybe more TV time and a Saturday night show on TBS at 6:05 eastern? That would be awesome to see, and much welcome to give the overcrowded roster a place to work. It could be a working agreement with the NWA and having NWA World Champion Matt Cardona coming in to work some matches against AEW stars. That would be cool. With Tony Khan though, it could be anything at all. I guess we’ll have to wait until Dynamite on Wednesday to see.

Should WWE end the brand split?

Personally, I would prefer to see it ended, but I keep hearing how Fox, which airs Smackdown, and USA Network, which airs RAW, like to keep the brands separate and different, and since that’s where the majority of WWE’s money comes from, I don’t see WWE doing anything to upset the guys who pay the bills. I’d like to see it, but I don’t think it’s something we’re going to see anytime soon.

Undertaker vs Goldberg. Who wins?

If we’re talking about the WCW Goldberg of many years ago, it would depend on how long the match went. If it’s less than ten minutes, Goldberg would probably win. If it went longer, Goldberg would run out of gas and Taker would get the victory. And if I was the booker and could decide who wins, I’d go with Goldberg. Taker could take a loss and it wouldn’t hurt him or his character at all. If Goldberg loses, he’s pretty much through.

Vince McMahon is scheduled to be the guest on Pat McAfee’s show next week. Why? Are they setting up a match between Vince and Pat at Mania?

Vince McMahon is 76 years old so unless it’s a Geritol on a pole match against Ric Flair, I don’t see him ever stepping into the ring again as a wrestler, especially not against someone like Pat McAfee. However, the timing of this interview is suspect and I agree that we’ll most likely get a match for Wrestlemania out of it. Pat accidentally offends Vince in the interview so Vince makes a match for Mania with Pat McAfee fighting Austin Theory. It’d be a good match based on what we’ve seen from Pat and Theory both in the past and it would make sense for Theory to be out there to stand up for Vince. I’m just guessing here, but that’s what I’m coming up with. Will it work out this way? We’ll have to wait and see, but it sounds good to me.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care of yourself and be safe. Watch out for any foreign objects. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
