It’s time to get busy. It’s Wrestlemania weekend and it’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
WWE is bringing Shane McMahon back for Wrestlemania. What do you think the plans for Shane will be?
While it would be fun to see Shane brought out as a tease for Seth’s opponent, I don’t think that will happen. Shane is in town to see the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. He’s been there every year since the first one and will be sitting front and center to enjoy this year’s show as well, especially since his dad will be the one inducting The Undertaker. So even though I know it breaks everyone’s hearts, no Shane McMahon match at Mania this year. Oops! Too sad!
Chris Masters said on Twitter that if Vince McMahon needs an opponent for Seth Rollins at Mania, he’s free. Would you like to see The Masterpiece return to the WWE?
Masters in one of those guys from the past that I’d love to see make a return to WWE and really get an opportunity to show his stuff and make some of that big WWE money. Currently, he’s under contract with the NWA so I doubt he’ll be showing up at Mania, but if he was to be the mystery opponent, I’d have no complaints.
On RAW, Reggie proposed to the 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke and Akira Tozawa proposed to Tamina and R Truth had an idea. How do you think this will turn out?
We’ll probably have one of those infamous double wrestling weddings on RAW sometime within the next month or so and R-Truth will crash the wedding by trying to get his “baby back” from Dana. Lots of title switches and craziness all throughout the show, with the final result, Truth once again holding the 24/7 gold. Well, something like that anyhow.
Putting Jericho in a faction with 4 guys who are NOT over is the equivalent of putting Austin with The Oddities. True or false?
False. The Oddities were over, at least in my opinion, and I always considered one of their appearances to be one of the more entertaining parts of each show. These guys that are now aligned with Jericho, they may not be headliners or main event stars yet, but being with Jericho will help them learn from one of the best, get involved in bigger stories, and become top guys. Look at Sammy Guevera? When he first debuted in AEW as a member of the Inner Circle, no one knew or cared who he was, but he’s a legit top guy for AEW now. Can lightning strike twice with Matt Lee, Jeff Parker, Daniel Garcia, and Jake Hager? Hager is already a known commodity, but they just need to cut him loose and let him go and be the star he once was again. As for the other three, we’ll have to wait and see, but being under the guidance of Jericho, it can’t hurt.
WWE has male factions like The Bloodline & The New Day, but no female factions. Post Wrestlemania, should WWE create a faction with Bianca, Rhea, and Liv? One of them goes for the main title and the others for the tag title. Three of them can have the same impact as New Day.
WWE has had female factions before. Remember the Pretty Mean Sisters? I’m sure Shawn Stasiak, aka Meat, does. How about when Asuka and Kairi Sane formed the Kabuki Warriors and were managed by Paige? So it’s been done, but just not really pushed or used to the best advantage. I’d love to see Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler, and maybe Lacey Evans, when she returns, as a faction managed by Paige, doing exactly as you suggest, going after all the gold. That would be cool. Or heck, just the Four Horsewomen of Wrestling, Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Becky, dominating as their predecessors in the past, the Four Horsemen, often did. It’s an idea that would work and spark some good matches and stories for WWE. I expect we’ll see it happen eventually.
Bray Wyatt has been spotted in Dallas. Is he Seth Rollin’s mystery opponent?
It’s a possibility. Of course, Seth’s mystery opponent could be Cody Rhodes, as everyone expects, Shane McMahon, The Great Khali, Chris Masters, Elias, or any of a number of talents and superstars. I think we’ll have to wait until tomorrow night to find out for sure and see.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any comments, thoughts, or questions are welcome and appreciated. Keep an eye out because I’ll have my predictions for Wrestlemania out later this afternoon. Until the next time, take care and be good. I’ll see you at the matches.
Ubuntu!
