Dalton Castle, Sammy & Tay, Bo Dallas & More

More humbling than the Iron Sheik visiting Hulk Hogan’s home for the holidays, it’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
What are your thoughts or opinions on Dalton Castle?
A mainstay of ROH for the past decade, Castle is one hell of a good wrestler. He plays the gender-bender role, muck like Adrian Street or Rico did in the past, but behind all of the showmanship is a very accomplished amateur wrestler and good in-ring performer. Castle isn’t well known outside of ROH, but now that he’s being exposed in AEW, he’s going to, in my opinion, explode and be a major name very soon. And it’s a spot he well deserves. Keep yoour eye on Castle and his “boys”. This guy is going to be a major champion one day. ‘Nuff said!
Will Cody be the one to take the title off of Roman Reigns?
Which title? Roman has two of them. Yes, I do think that the WWE Championship will soon be around Cody’s waist, and the Head of the Table may soon end up getting moved to the Kiddie Table, courtesy of the American Nightmare. As for when, when is the next trip to Saudi Arabia? It’ll happen. Watch and see.
It’s been over two years since Paige’s last WWE appearance. Why is she still employed by WWE and on the WWE payroll?
Because someone in WWE management (Vince) likes Paige. Either that or she has some great blackmail material on someone in top management (again, probably Vince). I don’t quite get it as to how she’s managed to survive so many roster cuts and mass firings, but whatever the reason is, I’m happy for her.
It seems that the AEW fans are starting to turn on Sammy Guevera and Tay Conti. Why?
Because they’re getting obnoxious. I’m as big a fan of Sammy and Tay as anyone and watching the VLOG is usually a high point of my Tuesdays. By the way, A in the chats for Aaron. But Sammy and Tay are so cute together, it just rubs people wrong. I’d love to see Sammy & Tay play off of this and be an obnoxious heel team for a while, much like maybe classic Eddie Gilbert & Missy Hyatt. Sammy has that face you just want to punch and Tay is a little overbearing at times, and while in the real world, I’d love to chill with them, as a wrestling fan, I’d like to see them embrace it and be major ass-clowns and heels. I think that’s where we’re headed.
Should Jim Johnston, composer of most WWE entrance themes for 3 decades, be included in the WWE Hall of Fame?
Is this even a legitimate question? A million times YES!
Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch versus Beer Money (James Storm & Bobby Roode). Who wins?
As much as I like Adonis and Murdoch, all I can say for this match is, “Sorry about your damn luck!” Beer Money would take that trip to the pay window for this match.
If you were told to put together a wrestling version of The View, who would your four hosts be?
Four wrestlers who are obnoxious, annoying, full of crap, and entertaining in a train-wreck sort of way? My picks would be Ryback, Braun Strowman, Vince Russo & Val Venis.
Mike Rotundo said in a recent interview that he doesn’t feel that Vince McMahon gave Bo Dallas a proper chance in WWE. Agree or disagree?
I would absolutely agree on this one. Look at how Bo was used in the developmental territory of FCW and then in NXT, and then compare it to how he was used and his character on the main roster. In NXT, he was a damn good wrestler, good on the mic, and had the makings of a solid top mid-card guy with plenty of room to grow and get even better. Then he came to the main roster and Vince made him “Bo-lieve”. He went from being a potential top star to a solid “B-Team” character instead. Yes, Vince definitely dropped the ball with Bo Dallas.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are very welcome and much appreciated. Until the next time, take care and be good. I’ll see you at the matches.
