More bang than DDP and the Diamond Cutter, it’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

Is there a minimum number of women’s matches AEW should have on Dynamite & Rampage each week? I lean towards at least 1/hour, with none in the pre-main event death slot. Thoughts?

There should be no set minimum and no set maximum in my opinion. Just go with the matches that make sense, have a purpose, and will draw viewers and fans, regardless of the gender of the participants, and run with it.

So it seems like John Cena is coming back to wrestle Theory. Do you think it should be for the title, and who do you think should win the match?

It should be for the title and in my opinion, Theory should win. Cena isn’t sticking around so he doesn’t need to win. If Theory wins, he’s a made man and it’s a great rub to help push him even more.

Who are your top 5 wrestlers for their contributions outside of the ring (off the back of John Cena’s latest wonderful gesture)?

Titus O’Neill is better known for his charity work and activities as an Ambassador for WWE than anything he’s done in the ring over the past few years so he’s one. Chris Jericho has been great about helping others when they’re down and with financial aid, so that’s 2. Diamond Dallas Page is Number Three. Sami Zayn is responsible for two medical trucks in Syria so he makes four. And finally, how about Chris Nowinski, who went from a career in WWE to co-founding the Concussion Legacy Foundation. Nowinski has dedicated his life to helping prevent CTE, and to be honest, it really doesn’t get much better than that.

Given his obvious love of Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, do you think a heel turn is on the cards for Billy Gunn, with him ditching the Ass Boys to join The Acclaimed?

I don’t think Billy Gunn will turn on his boys. Now, the Gunn Club, aka The Ass Boys turning on Billy? That, I could definitely see happening.

Would you rather take 10 chops from Gunther or wrestle a deathmatch with Nick Gage?

I’ll take the chops from Gunther. Nick Cage would probably end up hurting me, and himself pretty badly as well.

Who would be in your MITB winners Mount Rushmore?

Edge, CM Punk, Asuka, and Carmella (with an assist from James Ellsworth).

Is the “All Atlantic Title” more of a prop for when AEW has a UK show, or a hedge against DiscoveryWarner pulling the use of the TNT/TBS branding? Or, worse, just a filler to keep us occupied until Kenny can get back?

I have no idea what this new All Atlantic Championship is supposed to be. It’s like the Western States Heritage Title for the NWA in that it makes no sense at all. Why is it being created? I guess Tony Khan just likes big shiny objects. As for your two reasons, let’s go with the second one about Twinkletoes. That sounds more right (and dumb) to me.

Do you think there will ever be a Money in the Bank for tag teams in WWE? Or even something similar in other organizations?

I’m actually surprised that there hasn’t been one as of yet. It’s a great concept that works well with the winner of a ladder match getting a guaranteed title shot whenever they desire. My guess as to why WWE hasn’t done a tag team MITB match yet is due to Vince’s distaste for tag team wrestling and that there really aren’t many established teams to use for such a match. A match like this in AEW would go over well with the number of teams and factions available. I’d like to see someone do this and hopefully, they’ll see this and follow up. One can only hope.

Since Paige has revealed her contract expires on July 7th, where do you see her turning up somewhere else?

If she can be cleared to wrestle, her best option would be AEW. Tonk Khan needs some talented women with name recognition to fill out his Women’s Division and Paige has all of that, plus was a very good in-ring competitor as well. If she’s able to wrestle, I think AEW will be her next and most viable location.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and be good, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
