Thoughts & Predictions

Tonight, live on FITE.TV and Impact+ is Impact Wrestling Against All Odds PPV. Yes, a PPV on a Friday night. What’s up with that? Impact Wrestling will be at the world-famous Center Stage in Atlanta, GA. Are you ready for a few quick predictions? Let’s do this.
Impact Wrestling Champion Josh Alexander vs. Joe Doering with Deaner.
Alexander has been on fire since winning the Impact Wrestling Championship and in my opinion, it’s way too soon to have him drop the belt. Doering is a damn good wrestler and I’m sure that this match will be excellent. I also expect to see Deaner get involved and maybe even their associate, Eric Young. Alexander will have his work cut out for him to be sure, but I just don’t see the title changing hands here.
Winner and STILL Impact Wrestling Champion: Josh Alexander
Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace vs. Tasha Steelz.
If a belt is going to change hands here, I think this one will be the one. Grace just won the belt a couple of weeks ago, but Steelz was a strong champion and I think she’ll be taking it back here. It’s just a gut feeling, but always go with the gut, right?
Winner and NEW Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion: Tasha Steele
Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion Mike Bailey vs. Trey Miguel.
Mike Bailey just won the X-Division title a couple of weeks ago as well and this guy is really impressive and off the charts. Normally, I would say it’s too soon to lose the belt, but he’s going against Trey Miguel. A former champ, my gut is saying that Miguel will be coming to get that title back. Remember what I said about the gut in the last prediction? It applies here too.
Winner and NEW X-Division Champion: Trey Miguel
Honor No More with Maria Kanellis vs. America’s Most Wanted & Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers & Heath Miller.
It’s Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, PCO, Vincent, Kenny King, and Eddie Edwards, managed by Maria versus Chris Harris, James Storm, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Heath. I’m not sure which 5 members of Honor No More will be wrestling, but I’m sure this will be a hell of a match. My heart says that AMW, The Good Brothers, and Heath will win, but my head says differently. Honor No More needs a win and Heath, he’s kind of the odd man out with his partners. I hate this because Heath has kids and needs to win some matches as well, but I have a feeling that at the end of the night, it’s Heath who will be hearing these words. “Sorry about your damn luck!”.
Winners: Honor No More w/Maria Kanellis
Sami Callihan vs. Moose: Raven’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun match.
Raven is scheduled to be at this show so that should be pretty cool. Who won their last match? I think it was Moose. Thus, I think that Sami Callihan should win this one.
Winner: Sami Callihan
Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions Taya Valkyrie & Rosemary vs. Tenille Dashwood & Gisele Shaw.
Valkyrie and Rosemary just won the belts at the last PPV, but the whole story has been they’re more foes than friends and it was just a case of convenience and common enemies. Look for Rosemary to turn on her partner and the battles between those two women to continue, while Dashwood and Shaw benefit from the betrayal.
Winners and NEW Champions: Tenille Dashwood & Gisele Shaw
Digital Media Champion Rich Swann vs. Brian Myers: Dot Combat Match.
It’s time for some redemption and I wouldn’t be surprised to see an appearance by former NWA World Champion Matt Cardona to aid his long-time partner in a MAJOR way. I smell title change.
Winner and NEW Digital Media Champion: Brian Myers
Chelsea Green & Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mickie James & Mia Yim.
I can’t really see Green and Purrazzo co-existing as a team for very long, but I can say the same thing about James and Yim. It just doesn’t feel right to me. Tough call here, but I can’t see Mickie eating a loss.
Winners: Mickie James & Mia Yim
The Motor City Machineguns vs. Chris Bey & Ace Austin.
Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are the more experienced team. I like Ace Austin and Chris Bey has been impressive in the past, but as of late, it seems as if the bloom is off the rose and there isn’t much of a push going on. I expect this match will open the show and the victory will go to the long-time favorites of the Impact Wrestling fans, The Motor City Machine Guns.
Winners: Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin, aka The Motor City Machine Guns.
And there you go, my predictions for tonight’s Impact Wrestling PPV, Against All Odds. A PPV on a Friday night, running opposite WWE Smackdown and AEW Rampage. Oy vey! What were they thinking? So are you planning to watch it? Any predictions? Let me know what you think. And with that, I’m out of here. Thanks for reading. Be good and I’ll see you at the matches.
