WWE & AEW Together, Vince, Ric Flair & More

Just like Rocky Johnson, there is always one more kid. And this one is mine. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. So are you ready? Let’s do this.
Tony Khan has said that he’s ready to talk to WWE about a joint event. What are your thoughts?
So long as Vince is in control and the boss, it’s not going to happen. I could see HHH and Steph being more open in a joint project or two, but truthfully, WWE has nothing to gain from working with AEW, so why would they bother? Never say never, but I would put this idea under the not too likely label.
Better announcer: Bob Caudle, Gordon Solie, or Lance Russell?
I grew up in North Carolina so obviously have to go with the voice of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling for this one. Lance and Gordon had their own styles and were damn good with what they did, but Caudle was and will always be the man when it comes to wrestling commentators in my opinion.
Do you think that with Triple H and Stephanie taking more senior roles, the WWE talent acquisitions will change? Maybe some released talent returning?
I think there’s more of a chance of some older names coming back, as well as sometop Indy guys, talent from AEW or Impact Wrestling coming aboard with HHH & Steph in charge than would be with Vince at the helm. Vince has his tastes while HHH seems to be more open to different talents and styles. So long as Vince is the boss, and he is the boss regardless of whatever his title may or may not be, I don’t think we’ll see HHH go crazy signing new names, but I can see one or two that otherwise might not be considered for a role in WWE to be brought into the mix.
Who’s Flair going to wrestle? Does this project tarnish his legacy and his last match with HBK? I’m honestly disappointed he can’t get money doing something else.
So far, the clues all point to Jay Lethal as a strong possibility, but to be honest, it could be anyone (except Rick Steamboat). Do I think this tarnishes his legacy? Absolutely. Flair had the perfect retirement and send-off from WWE, but he’s so determined to be Ric Flair and so hungry for money and publicity, he has destroyed his legacy many times over. He WAS a great professional wrestling legend and as a wrestler, he’s arguably the GOAT of pro wrestling. As a person though, he’s embarassing at best and a total douche otherwise. I was a big fan of the wrestler Flair and remain a big fan of the Legacy of the Four Horsemen, but Flair the person, I just wish he’d go away.
Who is the next face of WWE: Theory, Breaker, or someone else?
Don’t forget Gunther, but honestly, any of the three work for me.
How long do you think it takes before Vince is back as CEO and Chairman?
Truthfully, I don’t think Vince will ever actually return to those jobs. If Stephanie does a good job as the Interim CEO and Chairman, I could see Vince allowing her to keep those jobs while he remains the Head of Creative and the behind-the-scenes boss. Regardless of whatever title he holds, in WWE, so long as he’s breathing, Vince will always be “the boss”.
12 Man Tag Match War Games Match with three tag teams on each side, who would your two teams be, and who would win?
How about The Midnight Express (Eaton & Lane), The Enforcers (Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko) and FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) w/ Jim Cornette at ringside versus The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk), The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart) and The Usos (Jimmy & Jey)with Paul Ellering & Jimmy Hart at ringside. And the winners? The Revived Midnight Enforcers of course.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, or any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and be good my friends. Watch out for the foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
