More cursed than The Ass Boys at a Danhausen VLOG party featuring The Acclaimed, it’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s get busy and do this.

If WWE told you to put together a faction, who would be your “Four Horsewomen” of Wrestling?

Since it’s WWE, I would guess AEW and Impact Wrestling talent is off limits and I would be told to restrict my choices for this faction to WWE talent or free agents. I could do that. It would be Charlotte, Carmella, Rachael Rodrigeuz, and Tessa Blanchard, plus I’d have Baby Doll brought in to fill the James J. Dillon role for the team.

Brody King recently attacked Darby Allin at an autograph signing. Thoughts?

I actually like seeing things like this happen because it adds some realism to the product and is a great way to build stories with the different wrestlers. It makes the fans more likely to turn out for a signing since anything can happen. But the biggest thing is, I know wrestling is pre-determined, but if these guys are getting into it at a public event, there might be real heat. As I said, realism.

Should AEW have a Women’s Tag Team Championship?

Does AEW even have any women tag teams? I would normally say yes, but AEW’s Women’s division is a bit lacking and there are already so many titles in that company, between the AEW and ROH belts, that for now, I’d suggest holding off on any more belts or titles.

Greatest tag team feud of all time?

A tough call, but I’d say either The Midnight Express versus The Rock & Roll Express or the feud between Buddy Rose & Doug Somers and the Midnight Rockers in the AWA over the AWA Tag Team Championship titles. That one didn’t last long, but it really put the Rockers on the map so far as I’m concerned and was one of the best feuds of that era.

Cage Match – There Must Be A Winner: Stan Hansen & Bruiser Brody versus The Sheik & Abdullah the Butcher. Who wins?

Man, this would be one bloody match. All four men would lose a ton of blood and look like they’d been snogging hand grenades when this one was over, but the winners are not really in any doubt. Hansen and Brody take the win.

Roman Reigns has defended the Unified WWE Universal Championship only one time since winning it 100 days ago. Thoughts?

I think it’s pretty bad when the champion rarely shows up and wrestles even less. It was annoying when Brock did it, but at least then, WWE had two top guys and two champions, and we still had competitive title matches on a regular basis, but now? In my opinion, WWE needs to split the titles back up again and give us two belts and two champs so we’ll have someone out there each week defending a belt, even if it isn’t Roman Reigns. I remember so well when guys like Flair or Race would defend their belts 8 times a week against 8 different opponents. Those were real champions and will always be remembered as such. Roman is a good wrestler and great character, but all that will be remembered of his run as the Unified Champion? He never defended the belt. He deserves better and so do the titles. And so do we.

So John Cena is out of SummerSlam due to filming Season 2 of Peacemaker. Do you think that’s the real reason or is Cena trying to backpedal away from WWE due to the Vince McMahon controversies?

Cena had his calendar cleared to be at SummerSlam and now, as the news and coverage of Vince being a whore-dog and pretty free with the money grows, he suddenly has other responsibilities and can’t be there. He may say otherwise, but I think the reason is pretty obvious. Cena is on the rise in Hollywood and being part of WWE right now, as all this news comes out, is not a positive career move. Cena is doing the smart thing, career-wise, and I honestly can’t say that I blame him a bit.

Paul Wight, aka The Big Show, recently confirmed in an interview that he plans to do “one last run” as the character Captain Insano for AEW. Thoughts?

It sounds pretty insane-o to me, but it could turn out to be fun, especially if some of Wight’s former castmates from the movie The Waterboy show up to take part in the angle and final run. We all know that Adam Sandler is a wrestling fan and to see Bobby Boucher (Sandler), Mama Boucher (Kathy Bates), Coach Klein (Henry Winkler), and Vicki Vallencourt (Fairuza Balk) all at ringside or getting involved in a match, that would be fun. It’ll be interesting to see where all of this leads.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. And I guess it’s time to call it a day. Until the next time, take care and be safe. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
