Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Cody Rhodes, Alberto Del Rio, Madcap Moss & More
July 15, 2022
Based simply on the number of title reigns he’s had, R-Truth is the greatest WWE wrestler of all time. That’s just something to think about and I have no problem with that at all. Let’s talk pro wrestling for a while. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Should WWE make Cody Rhodes an on-air Authority Figure while he recovers from his torn pec?
I actually like this idea because it would be a great way to keep Cody in the spotlight and on television while he recovers from his injury. Adam Pearce is somewhat ineffective as management and having Cody assume that role would be a major improvement. And since the idea of a “General Manager” is somewhat old and outdated, they could even call him an “EVP”. I think he’s familiar with the title, it is on his resume, and would work quite well. So Cody as a boss until he can wrestle again? Book it, Vince.
Ric Flair seems to be upset with Chris Jericho for referring to himself as a “Living Legend”. Thoughts?
Ric is just being Ric and trying to find a way to make news and be in the spotlight and Jericho seems to be a favorite target for that purpose. I can’t see why Ric would be upset about the term “Living Legend” because that title was reserved for Bruno Sammartino and then Larry Zbyszko, not the Nature Boy. It’s no big deal though and Ric is just being Ric. It’s not really even worth talking about.
Alberto Del Rio says he deserves to be in a major wrestling company (AEW, WWE). Thoughts?
Del Rio deserves to be in prison or maybe exiled to parts unknown, but so far as wrestling goes, I doubt AEW, WWE, or Impact Wrestling will ever make the mistake of working with this clown again, nor should they. He’s an absolute piece of crap, period!
Who would you rather see make a big comeback for either AEW or WWE? Alberto Del Rio or Ryback?
Of the two, I’d rather see Ryback make a return to the ring than Del Rio do anything. Thinking about it, seeing Ryback on TV every week as part of the 24/7 Championship group would be entertaining. Watching him be jobbed out to Dana Brooke, Tozawa, and R-Truth every week would put a warm and fuzzy feeling into my tum-tum. Big shout out to Simon Miller at WhatCulture. com. So yeah, definitely Ryback.
Batista versus Wardlow. Who wins?
I’d go with Warlow on this one.
Vader versus Keith Lee. Who wins?
It’s time. It’s time. It’s Vader time! ‘Nuff said!
Sami Callihan should be in AEW in the title picture. Agree or disagree?
No, I don’t think so. I like Callihan fine and he’s doing well in Impact Wrestling so that’s probably where he should, for now, stay. If he was to come to AEW, he’d get lost in the shuffle and be forgotten about pretty quickly. He’s a good wrestler, but he’s not the big named ex-WWE guy that Tony Khan seems to like.
Swerve Strickland & Keith Lee are the new AEW Tag Team Champions. Thoughts?
It’s a good call by AEW. The Young Bucks don’t need to be champions and Swerve/Lee absolutely could use the push into the top of the tag team scene. In that match, I personally would have preferred to see Ricky Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs win the belts, but no arguments about Swerve & Lee either. Now when are we going to see the new tag team champs take on FTR? Hey Tony Khan, we’re waiting.
WWE is changing its ratings from PG-13 to TV-14. Thoughts?
With AEW constantly pushing the envelope with their language and blood, WWE needed to take a few steps to compete and they’ve done just that. It’s a good move by WWE and now, we’ll probably see things step up a notch or two.
Paul Heyman recently called Madcap Moss a future main-eventer. Agree or disagree?
When has Heyman ever been wrong about the talent or ability of a wrestler? I absolutely agree.
And that brings us to the end of another edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are very welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, take care and be good, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
