Tomorrow night, live on Peacock and the WWE Network, is WWE Extreme Rules. Only six matches have been announced so far, but I’m sure on WWE Smackdown Live tonight on Fox, or maybe in the wee hours of the morning, another match or two will be added. If this happens, I’ll come back and update this column with the new matches added to the mix. And now, let’s get busy. It’s time to break out the Magic 8 Ball and dress up with a giant fake wig like Gary Spivey from the Psychic Friends Network and get to work. Let’s do this.

SmackDown Women’s Championship — Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey (Extreme Rules Match)

I like Liv and she has surprised me with a fairly decent run as the Smackdown Women’s Champion, but enough is enough and it’s time for a change. I have a dream of one day seeing Asuka and Rousey fight for the Women’s Championship as a headline match for Wrestlemania. That can’t happen unless Ronda has the title. Ronda is getting the championship back.

Winner and NEW WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion: Ronda Rousey

Raw Women’s Championship — Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley (Ladder Match)

Bianca is good and has a big future ahead of her, but Bayley is a wise veteran and has Damage CNTRL on her side. Also, Bianca is, to me at least, getting a little stale as champion. I’m ready for some change, so Ding-Dong, Bayley steals a win.

Winner and NEW WWE Raw Women’s Champion: Bayley

Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins (Fight Pit Match) Special Referee: Daniel Cormier

I’m excited about this one. If you get the chance, go back and watch the only other Fight Pit match, which was Riddle and Timothy Thatcher. It was incredible and I doubt that this one will be any less awesome to witness. Seth has won most of the encounters leading up to this match, so this one should go to Riddle. A loss won’t hurt Seth, but Riddle needs a win.

Winner: Matt Riddle

Edge vs. Finn Balor (“I Quit” Match)

Edge can win or lose and it won’t hurt him a bit. Balor is really starting to get some momentum with The Judgement Day and losing here would be a big setback. So look for Edge to dominate most of the match, for the Judgement Day and probably Rey Mysterio to get involved, for some shenanigans to take place and through no fault of his own, Edge is forced to utter, as Gordon Solie once said, “Two words, five letters” and take the loss. And also, by the way, if Bray makes a return, this is the match where it should happen.

Winner: Finn Balor

Karrion Kross vs. Drew McIntyre (Strap Match)

Drew has had his run at the top and win or lose, it won’t hurt him a bit. Now, it’s Karrion’s time and he needs to start getting strong wins. I think he will and it all begins here.

Winner: Karrion Kross

The Brawling Brutes vs. Imperium (Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match)

Sheamus can lose all day, but we all know how tough he is and it doesn’t matter. The same goes for the rest of his team of Brawling Brutes. We know them and they like to fight. We get it. But the WWE doesn’t know the threesome of Imperium quite well yet. After all, not everyone watched NXT or NXT-UK. GUNTHER has made a strong impression, but his partners are still strangers to most of the WWE Universe. Imperium needs the win more and should get it here.

Winners: Imperium

And there you go with my predictions for WWE Extreme Rules. This should be a good show, but to me, it seems to be lacking something. Maybe the top titles not being defended by Roman, The Usos, Lashley, or Gunther is what’s missing? Gunther is taking part in a six-man tag, but where is Lashley or The Bloodline? Hopefully, something involving them or maybe Lashley versus Mustafa Ali will get added tonight on Smackdown. If they do, I’ll come and update this post.

But anyhow, that’s enough for now. What are your predictions? Are you planning to watch Extreme Rules? Let me know in the comments, along with any other thoughts, comments, or questions. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and be good and I’ll see you at the matches.
