Later today, Impact Wrestling will present Over Drive 2022, live from Louisville, Kentucky on Impact+ and FITE.TV. And of course, that means predictions. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Impact Wrestling Champion Josh Alexander vs. Frankie Kazarian.

I just spoke about Josh Alexander in the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A yesterday and here he is in the main event defending the Impact Wrestling World Championship against Frankie Kazarian. It’ll be a solid and strong match with both men giving 1000%. Of that, I have no doubt. But will this match draw viewers or put butts in the seats? Of that, I have plenty of doubts. I don’t see any real reason to switch the title here.

Winner and STILL Impact Wrestling Champion: Josh Alexander

Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions Rhino and Heath Miller vs. Brian Myers & Matt Cardona.

This is the match I’m most interested in with three of my favorite wrestling talents and characters taking part in this epic encounter for the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Titles. I never bet against Heath, but it’s the one-time Major Brothers standing across the ring and I rarely bet against them either. Heath and Rhyno just won the tag belts a few weeks ago and I still think Cardona, and by association Myers, will be joining Chelsea Green in the WWE soon. Rhino and Heath win and retain their belts.

Winners and STILL Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions: Rhino & Heath Miller

Bully Ray vs. Moose – Tables Match.

Moose is very impressive and a fun wrestler to watch, but this is Bubba Ray Dudley, aka Bully Ray, and it’s a Tables Match. Devon’s sons, get the tables.

Winner: Bully Ray

X-Division Championship Tournament Finals: Black Taurus vs. Trey Miguel to crown the champion.

Trey Miguel has become one of those guys who has impressed me time and time again. He’s a mainstay on the Impact Roster and always seems to be either holding gold or on the verge of a title. I don’t think that’s going to change.

Winner and NEW Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion: Trey Miguel

Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions The Death Dollz vs. Savannah Evans & Tasha Steelz.

The Death Dollz is Taya Valkyrie & Jessicka w/Rosemary. And they’re an odd combination, but it seems to work for them. They’ve only been the champions for just over a month and as good as Evans & Steelz are, I don’t think it’s time yet for a title change. Look for the Dollz to retain.

Winners and STILL Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions: The Death Dollz

Taylor Wilde vs. Mickie James.

I remember Taylor Wilde from Tough Enough. And we all know Mickie James. There is no way that Mickie is losing here, nor should she.

Winner: Mickie James

Kenny King vs. Yuya Uemura vs. Bhupinder Gujjar vs. Jason Hotch vs. Mike Bailey vs. Rich Swann.

Impact Wrestling loves its multi-man matches, don’t they? The only names I even recognize here are Kenny King and Rich Swann. Oh yeah, and Mike Bailey. He was lost in the shuffle, almost like he was in AEW or something. My bad! What is even the purpose of this match? Does the winner get a prize or is it just a match for the sake of having a match? Does anyone really even know? I’ll go for Speedball Mike Bailey here.

Winner: Mike Bailey

The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Chris Bey & Ace Austin to determine the top contenders to the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championship.

Much like Heath and much like Trey Miguel, one never bets against the Motor City Machine Guns, unless they’re doing a one-shot for AEW of course. I like Chris Bey and I see a future star written all over him. Austin is pretty good too and this should be a fun and competitive match to see. But I don’t think the victors are in doubt.

Winners and NEW Top Contenders for the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships: The Motor City Machine Guns.

And there you go. I don’t think many fans will actually end up watching this event as it’s being aired directly against AEW Full Gear, but it should still be an excellent wrestling event and fun show. So how are my predictions? Let me know in the comments along with any other thoughts, remarks, or questions you may have. I do want to hear from YOU!

And with that, it’s time to wrap it up for the night. My thanks for reading. Until the next time, stay safe and always remember, it’s your duty to shake your booty. Take care and watch for foreign objects. I’ll see you at the matches.
