It’s time for the daily dose of Q&A about the sport we all know and love. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.

Do you think MJF is serious about listening to an offer from WWE in 2024?

I think he is very serious as he should be. When his AEW contract expires, he should consider all opportunities, be it AEW, WWE, or Hollywood, and take the offer that works best for him both financially and professionally. And I do think he will be doing exactly that.

Can you explain what exactly AEW is doing with the whole Jade Cargill/Bow Wow situation?

I think Tony Khan is throwing anything and everything he can up against the wall in order to pretend he knows what he’s doing, including a pseudo-relationship between one of his top stars and a washed-up has-been B-list singer. This is not going to draw new faces or fans to AEW. No one cares. At least I know that I don’t.

Barry Windham is currently in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Thoughts on Barry?

One of the best in-ring performers of his era with so much natural ability, it’s almost scary. Windham is a second-generation wrestler, the son of Blackjack Mulligan, and the uncle of current WWE stars Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas. Barry was just a great performer who never had a bad match that I can recall, and win, lose, or draw, always left the fans wanting more. Thoughts & prayers to this Hall of Fame legend in his recovery. When you talk about professional wrestling and the legit GOATs, Windham’s name has to be included. One of the very best.

According to EC3, William Regal regretted the decision to sign with AEW almost immediately, citing “maturity issues with management”. Thoughts?

Regal went from over twenty years working in a very precise and organized wrestling promotion to working in a promotion with no structure, no organization, and where the inmates legit run the asylum. EC3 may be the one reporting what Regal allegedly said, but I can definitely see it being true.

Does Umaga belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?

He may never have been a World Champion, but his career was solid and he worked one of the biggest main events in Wrestlemania history where Vince McMahon faced off against a future President of the United States. He is well remembered by the fans and his peers and yes, I would say that he definitely is worthy of a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Who was the true Master of the Heart Punch? Ox Baker or Stan Stasiak?

With all due respect to former WWWF Champion Stan Stasiak, when I think of the heart punch, I think of Ox Baker. I would pick Ox for this distinction.

Buddy Matthews is set to be a free agent in a few months. Do you think he’ll go back to WWE to be closer to his real-life girlfriend Rhea Ripley?

He’s dating Rhea in real life and was the boyfriend of Rey Mysterio’s daughter on TV. Meanwhile, Rhea is with Dominick Mysterio on TV, thus the story seems to write itself in a confusing, soap opera type of way. If the opportunity arises, I think he will definitely go back to the WWE and once the current program against AJ & The OC ends, we could get Matthews versus Dominick over the honor of his sister and Rhea. It could be very fun to watch and see.

With Punk out, would it be wise for Tony Khan to push the crap out of Bryan Danielson? He’s no Punk but is a very recognizable name. I’m not expecting it, but it’s just a thought. Know what I mean?

Tony Khan should have been pushing Bryan Danielson since Day 1, regardless of whether CM Punk was there or not. A Punk versus Danielson feud or tag team for that matter would have been major money for AEW, but for whatever reason, Tony doesn’t think as we do. Pushing Danielson, especially when he was working as a tweener with heel tendencies, would have been a great move. Too bad it really never did happen.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are very welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m out of here for a bit. I have a fan-fic story about Harry Potter to go write on for a while. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
