Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Forbidden Doors, Adam Cole, Roman Reigns & More
January 15, 2023
Yes, it’s another edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I told you earlier that my mailbox was full of questions and I was going to try and answer them. And well, here we are. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Do you think there will be a way that WWE and NJPW can work on making a match between Will Ospreay and Seth Rollins in the future?
There are definitely ways to make this happen, but will it? Unless there is a way that it would benefit WWE, I can’t see Triple H making the necessary phone calls to work out a deal and make it happen. Ospreay is a good wrestler and I admit that a match with him and Seth would be off the charts, but unless Ospreay joins WWE or Seth leaves WWE and goes to New Japan, I just can’t see it happening.
If you had to choose who you wanted to beat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, who would it be?
If it was my choice, I’d have Heath Slater return to the WWE, make a challenge against Roman, have Roman laugh it off and accept, and have Heath get the surprise win to capture the title. Thus, the 3MB curse would stay alive with all three members being World Champions and all of Heath’s kids would be happy. And if you want a serious answer of someone currently on the roster, my pick would be GUNTHER.
Do you think AEW or even Impact sees a major market share shift if WWE makes a bad sale and loses even more viewership?
If WWE makes a bad deal and the wrong people end up in charge of the company, I can easily see AEW, Impact Wrestling, and even the NWA all gaining viewers as a result. Wrestling fans are going to get their wrestling fix one way or the other and if WWE self-destructs, they’ll find it somewhere else.
Would you say The Elite are comparable to the Kilq. I feel the EVP titles give them an easy way to win titles.
At least the Kliq had talent, and personalities, and could put on great wrestling matches. They earned their spots at the top of the card. The Elite? Not so much in my opinion. To compare The Elite to The Kliq is an insult to The Kliq.
Who should WWE book as a forbidden door entrant in the Rumbles this year? Like Mickie James last year?
I’d go with Mickie again from Impact Wrestling if she’s available and with The Great Muta, from Pro Wrestling Noah as the surprise in the men’s Rumble match.
How do you feel about Adam Cole’s return?
I’m glad to see him back in action. Despite his choice of friends, Cole is a good wrestler with a lot of energy and talent. Having Adam Cole as part of the active roster can never be a bad thing.
If the WWE is going private, who is the best-case scenario buyer?
How about Triple H & Stephanie McMahon? That would keep things on track and moving forward with very few changes from how things are done now. Any kind of corporate ownership would cause more headaches in my opinion than anything else.
If you bought WWE, who would you make Champion?
I think I already answered this with Heath Slater & GUNTHER in the previous question. My answer remains the same. And as for the Women’s Championships, I’d go with Asuka & Rhea Ripley for now.
Who are the ones to take the trios titles off of The Elite and why is it the House Of Black?
You may say House of Black, but my choices would be CM Punk and FTR.
Do you think Roman will lose a belt at Extreme Rules? If so, then to who?
At Extreme Rules, I think I’d maybe go with Seth Rollins. He’s always a safe bet.
And there you go. Another one is in the books. I’ll be back tomorrow with more of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A, plus most likely some other stuff as well. Thank you for reading and never forget, all comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. I want to hear from YOU! And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
