Tossing Salt Presents:
Ultimate Wrestling Q&A
Naomi, Breezango, D-Von Dudley & More
January 22, 2023
Are you ready for some wrestling? It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Gail Kim said that she’d be willing to come out of retirement to wrestle Mickie James. Would you like to see Kim versus James one more time?
Would I like to see this happen? Hell yeah! It would be a strong match by any standards and would be very exciting to see. Gail has also said that all she needs is time to get in wrestling shape, but I doubt she would have made the comments if she wasn’t already halfway there. I hope that this one happens.
Sources say that WWE is confident that Naomi will be back with WWE soon. If so, would you like to see her as part of the Bloodline? And if not that, what role would you like to see her have?
The Bloodline needs to have a female member to counter the presence of Rhea with the Bloodline and Mia with the OC and Naomi, being the wife of Jimmy Uso, is the most natural option. If she does return to the WWE, most likely at RAW XXX, I’d expect her to be front and center when they acknowledge Roman Reigns. And if that’s not what WWE wants to do with her, just send her down to NXT to take the Mandy Rose role and be a veteran, helping to teach the younger talent and take a top, leading role.
If Naomi doesn’t join the Bloodline, what about either Tamina or Nia Jax?
Tamina in the role of the female enforcer for the Bloodline makes perfect sense. Nia? Nah, she can stay retired and in wrestling limbo.
Who had the better Claw? Blackjack Mulligan or Baron Von Raschke?
Blackjack was so big, he didn’t need the claw, although he was very impressive and dominated with it. The Baron though? He was “The Claw!”. He wasn’t the most physically imposing character and was hard to take seriously, but when he locked that claw, the fans believed. Both men count as my heroes, but the only one who can truly be called The Master of The Claw is Baron Von Raschke. And that is all the people need to know!
What are your thoughts on Action Andretti?
He’s a good-looking kid and has some good moves, but that name truly has the kiss of death all over it. I can’t see this guy as a big star. I might be wrong, but I just don’t see that “it” with this guy. Maybe in a few years, he might find that niche and become a big name. I just don’t see it right now.
Do you think FTR will return to AEW?
Right now, I don’t think even FTR knows what they’ll do once their contracts expire in April. I think it’s a “wait and see” situation, where they’re watching the WWE to see what Triple H and Vince do, watching AEW to see what the deal with Punk and the Elite will be, and just weighing their options with a final decision to come once all the narratives, are in place.
Would you like to see Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango) return to the WWE?
Yes. Yes, I would.
Some names have been announced for Raw XXX next week. Who would you like to see as an unannounced surprise appearance?
How about Ivory, Hornswoggle, “The Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko, and Linda McMahon? Damien Demento would be good too since he was on the first RAW.
D-Von Dudley was released by the WWE yesterday. What is next for D-Von? Testify!
D-Von’s days as a full-time active wrestler are over, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him show up wherever Bubba is currently active (Impact Wrestling). If I recall correctly, D-Von worked in the past as an agent for Impact Wrestling before going back to WWE so I’m sure that’s an option.
CM Punk has reportedly been put “on ice” by Tony Khan & AEW. Thoughts?
I think Tony is caught between a rock and a hard place. He doesn’t want to piss off his EVPs, but doesn’t want to lose Punk or see Punk show up in the WWE, so what’s a man to do. Just pay him to sit at home and heal, and then, when he’s close to being able to wrestle again, and after things have had a good chance to cool down, reopen negotiations with Punk to attempt to turn all of the bad stuff into an angle where everyone can make money and AEW to prosper. Right now, this is all part of the cooling-off period, where no one seems to be talking, but Punk is still under contract and getting paid.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m just like Matt Riddle’s push in WWE. I’m history. Take care and be well my friends and I’ll see you at the matches.
