Yes, it’s another edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Two in one day? Isn’t that special? Let’s do this, shall we? And away we go.
Vince McMahon is repeatedly seeking 9 billion dollars to sell the WWE. Too much?
From what I understand, the estimated value of WWE right now is 6.5 billion dollars, so yes, asking nine billion dollars is a little much, but if there is someone out there willing to pay that much, can it be called too much? Vince is asking for more than he expects to get most likely because that leaves wiggle room to negotiate and get to a price than makes everyone happy. That’s a lot of money and I wish I had a few billion dollars to spare, but someone will take the bait and bite. I have no doubts about that.
If you could pick 4 tag teams from any company to compete against each other, which ones would you pick and why?
Why? How about a match with who I feel are the best tag teams in wrestling today just to have the experience of seeing them all in the ring together? And as for who, it feels weird leaving the Briscoes out, but I have to for obvious reasons. So the four best tag teams active today, I’d go with FTR versus The Usos versus The New Day versus The Good Brothers. And the winners? Let’s go with FTR.
If Kenny does make the jump to WWE who could you see his first feud being with?
By Kenny, I’m assuming you mean Kenny Omega, aka Twinkle Toes McFingerbang, right? If Kenny does end up in WWE eventually, his first feud should be with Seth Rollins.
If Sami loses tomorrow as we all expect, do you see him ever getting a run as WWE Champ?
A long-term run of several years? No, I can’t see that ever happening. But given his popularity and story, I could see a short, transitional run with the belt, kind of like when Mick Foley won the title back in the day.
Happy Elimination Chamber Day. With Bray calling out the winner of Lashley and Brock, how do you think all involved with be booked going into Mania? I can see Lashley winning, Brock facing Gunther for the IC title, and maybe the Wyatt 6 versus Hurt Business.
I like the way you think. Lashley getting a win and then going on to fight Bray, with both men bringing their associates, The Hurt Business and The Wyatt 6 into the mix, sounds like fun to me. And Brock versus GUNTHER at Mania? That sounds pretty awesome too. Book it, Hunter.
If Cody beats Roman for the titles who should his first defense be against?
Cody said, in an interview a few days ago, that he’d like to wrestle GUNTHER, so there’s the match and first title defense right there.
With it being WrestleMania season, what is your dream match that can happen this year?
I want to see the Disco Inferno come to the ring at Wrestlemania 39, get on the mic, and proclaim that the only reason that everyone is there at Mania is that they wanted to see the Disco Inferno dance. And then GUNTHER & Brock can come out and just beat the shit out of Disco, with both men getting in their signature moves before starting their match. Would that work? Book it, Triple H.
Can we see a Sami and Jey moment just like Michaels and Flair’s “sorry I love you” at Mania for the tag titles?
We could see it and it would be cool, but I don’t think it’ll be happening. I expect to see Sami and Jey write their own stories and not do a rehash of something that’s already been done.
Is the Bray Wyatt push losing steam?
It seems to be, but this is wrestling and all it takes is one good promo or one good feud and things will pick back up pretty quickly for a wrestler like Wyatt. His challenge to either Lashley or Brock is probably just that spark he was needing to get back on everyone’s mind again. Now, all we have to do is watch and see what happens.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And now it’s time to close things up for a while. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
