I took a few days off due to a lack of feeling Ucey. Now it’s time to play catch up. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s do this.
Terry Funk & Dory Funk Jr. versus Mil Mascaras & Bruno Sammartino. Who wins?
The Funk Brothers. Bruno would put up a fight and give them one helluva match, but Mascaras would act like a Diva and refuse to take bumps, causing Terry to stiff him with a kick to the balls. The Funks would win.
Mike Tyson recently said that he prefers being on WWE TV more than AEW TV even though AEW pays more. Thoughts?
It means that Tyson likes being in front of a larger crowd and dealing with professionals rather than playing amateur hour. No big surprise here.
Ronnie Garvin versus GUNTHER. Who wins?
Ronnie is a tough man and would put up one helluva fight. Of that, I have no doubt. But in the end, GUNTHER would chop him down to size and take home the victory. GUNTHER wins.
Does Terry Taylor belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?
Yes, he does, even if it is for no other reason than a consolation for the stupid Red Rooster gimmick. Terry has had a great career both inside the ring as well as backstage in WCW, TNA/Impact Wrestling, and WWE. Maybe he was never a top guy in the ring, but his career and influence on the business are beyond reproach. WWE Hall of Fame? Absolutely!
Do you remember a wrestler named Keith Larson? Thoughts?
Keith Larson, real name Rocky Kernodle, was a talented young enhancement talent in the old Jim Crockett promotions. He was teased as a potential rising star, teaming with Ole Anderson at Starcade 84 against The Russians, and then later with his brother, Don Kernodle, for several independent promotions in the early 2000s. The kid was damn good and very popular with the ladies if you catch my drift. He had it all and why he never became a big name, I don’t understand, but he was a good wrestler for that era. A talented kid.
How likely is it that once Cody wins the belts he will vacate the SmackDown title? Maybe after a week or two, I think he would.
Willingly, I can’t see anyone vacating and splitting up the titles. When it happens, and it will, it will be either a proclamation by the main office (Triple H) or as a swerve during a title defense where only one belt was on the line via the contract and thus when a new champion wins, he only wins one title and not two. They (the WWE) will figure it out at some point and we’ll be back with two champions again, but it won’t be because the champ wants to give up one of them.
Bray Wyatt calls out the winner of Brock and Bobby. Is Bray Wyatt about to retire Brock Lesnar on behalf of the Undertaker and allow Brock to finally walk away?
Nope, it doesn’t look that way. As it stands right now, it looks as if Brock will be fighting with Omos soon while Bray’s eyes are set on Bobby Lashley and the Hurt Business, maybe as a feud with The Hurt Business versus The Wyatt 6. It doesn’t seem as if Bray and Brock will be crossing paths anytime soon.
Do you reckon WWE will split the titles after Wrestlemania so that both RAW and Smackdown have a major singles championship on their respective brand? Also, how would your fantasy book KO & Sami Zayn take the tag titles off the Usos at Wrestlemania?
I think that the two major titles, the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship will be split up very soon, either at Wrestlemania or shortly afterward. As for how to book KO and Sami versus The Usos, have the Usos go after Sami and KO makes the save again. Then the Usos go after Kevin and Sami make a save. And Adam Pearce makes the match for Wrestlemania, with the Usos versus KO and Sami for the belts. It’s just that simple.
A bit late, but who were you most surprised wasn’t in the rumble? For me, very surprised no Erik Young or Nick Aldis.
I was surprised that we didn’t see Matt Cardona pop up as part of the Rumble. With his wife, Chelsea Green, as part of the Rumble in the Women’s match, there was a lot of speculation that we’d be seeing Matt there as well, but he wasn’t. Also, Chris Masters. When he said on Twitter a few days before the Rumble that he wasn’t invited, I was sure that meant he was in. Too bad. I’d love to see both men show up on WWE sooner rather than later. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it eventually happens.
Do you think AEW and WWE would be better or worse if Triple H and TK switched companies?
AEW would be far better if HHH came over and took control. WWE would be far worse and begging for the returns of Vince Russo and Vince McMahon if Tony Khan was to suddenly be in charge. It would be a disaster.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m out of here, my friends. Take care and be awesome to each other. I’ll see you at the matches.
