WWE WrestleMania 39: Night Two
Thoughts & Predictions

And here we go with my predictions for Night 2 of WWE goes Hollywood with WrestleMania 39 from Los Angeles, CA. I held off a little on this set of predictions because I wanted to see if sometime during Smackdown, Bobby Lashley would get a match for Mania. Well, he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but so far as a match this weekend, it looks like he’s still off the card. That sucks, but life goes on. Let’s go on as well. Here are my predictions for Night 2 of Wrestlemania. Let’s do this.
Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
I’m kind of hoping that we’ll get a big swerve here and that WWE decides to keep the belt with Roman. It would be unexpected and throw the entire world into a major shock. It would be awesome. But that being said, while I do expect a few eyebrow-raising surprises, I don’t think that the final results of this match will be among those surprises. The long reign of the Tribal Chief is coming to an end.
Winner and NEW WWE Universal Undisputed Champion: Cody Rhodes
RAW Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka
Bianca has been the champion now for a year, but to be honest, she doesn’t do a thing for me and has grown stale. I think we need a change and clown-face Asuka might just be the perfect woman to make that change happen. I know that Bianca is one of Vince’s favorites, but Asuka has always been a big favorite of Triple H’s. I think we’ll be seeing a new champion here.
Winner and NEW WWE RAW Women’s Champion: Asuka
WWE Intercontinental Championship: GUNTHER (c) vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre
GUNTHER is the future of WWE and while he’s fighting two of the best guys on the WWE roster, I don’t think he should lose here or anytime soon for that matter.
Winner and STILL Intercontinental Champion: GUNTHER
Hell in a Cell: Edge vs. Finn Balor
I keep hearing rumors that we’ll possibly see a Brood Reunion with Gangrel and Christian, if Tony Khan gives the okay, accompanying Edge to the Hell in the Cell cage to counter the presence of The Judgement Day. That would be fun to see happen and I hope the rumors are true. As for this match, I’m torn. I don’t want to see Finn lose the match, but I also know that Edge taking a loss would kill the vibe of the show and make a lot of the fans watching become Sad Little Pandas. How about this? Gangrel comes with Edge to the ring but pulls a double-cross to allow Finn to score the win and becomes the newest member of The Judgement Day. Works for me.
Winner: Finn Balor
Brock Lesnar vs. Omos
I don’t care if the rumors of Brock possibly going on hiatus after this match is true or not. There is no way that Brock should lose to Omos. Not now and not ever.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez vs. Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler vs. Natalya & Shotzi vs. Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green.
Another multi-person match to give everyone a chance to get on the card, but what is the purpose here? Why is this match happening? I guess the winner will get an eventual title shot, plus it’s a way to keep Ronda safe since she’s working with injuries, and having all these other women here will distract and keep her from being exposed too much. I don’t think we’ll see Ronda and Shayna win for exactly the reason I just spoke of. Natalya and Shotzi are there to eat a loss and get pinned. So who wins between Liv & Raquel or Sonya & Chelsea? If Sonya & Chelsea don’t win, I want to speak to the manager.
Winners: Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. And with that, those are my predictions? Am I right? Am I wrong? Let me know what you’re thinking. All feedback is very appreciated. And now, I’m out of here. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at WrestleMania.
