Are you ready to suspend disbelief? It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s get busy and do this.

Jeff Hardy is back in AEW. Thoughts?

I was surprised to see Jeff come out on Dynamite, but I guess I shouldn’t have been. Jeff looks good, but I seem to remember Tony Khan saying that Jeff won’t be back in an AEW ring until he’s proven he can and will stay sober. Has Jeff proven anything as of yet? I hope this all works out and Jeff manages to stay healthy and sober, but my gut says that seeing him back in action in AEW this soon is a bad idea. I hope that I’m wrong, but it’s too soon. It’s too soon.

Irwin R. Schyster versus Bray Wyatt. Who wins?

A father versus son classic as the old tax man takes on the rebellious son in an instant classic. This match would probably be far better than it has any right to be, and I’d suspect we may even see some other family members get involved. At least I Bo-lieve we would. But in the end, when that final bell rings, it’d be Bray getting the arm raised in victory.

Would you like to see Will Ospreay at AEW All In and who should he wrestle?

If Ospreay is available and can be booked to work the event, AEW should try to secure him. For that event at Wembley Stadium, they’re going to need every big named talent that they can get. As for who he should wrestle, how about Ospreay versus Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH Championship? It’d be a good and fun match.

Thoughts on Big John Studd?

A big man who was one of the good ones. I remember seeing Studd coming out and battling Blackjack Mulligan as a bounty hunter out to take down Mulligan on behalf of Ric Flair. I only had the opportunity to see Studd wrestle once live at a show in Lumberton, NC against Andre the Giant. Both of those guys were so big. I was fourteen and it was an amazing sight. Andre won by DQ when Studd gingerly lifted him over the top rope. And then several years later, I attended a show in Durham, NC and Studd was supposed to be one of the main eventers, but he canceled at the last minute. He died a few weeks later. Studd wasn’t a great wrestler or talker, but he had a presence and he was the real deal. A true legend in every sense of the word.

Four Way Match: The Midnight Express versus The Midnight Rockers versus The Hart Foundation versus Demolition. Who wins?

I can already picture Jimmy Hart and Jim Cornette scrapping on the outside of the ring while craziness and chaos ran rampant inside the ring. I think in this one, Demolition would find a way, most likely with an assist from Mr. Fuji, to capture the victory and take home the win.

At this point what would you do with Bray Wyatt?

Right now, I’d just forget about everything that has happened so far since his return, make him the cult leader of a new and improved Wyatt Family, aka The Wyatt 6 we heard so much about when he came back to WWE, and take it from there. The Fiend could be his alter-ego for the big events, much like Finn Balor uses the Demon gimmick. Have Bray assemble his “family” like Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy), Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, etc., and maybe ally with Eric Young, who’s under contract, but hasn’t been used yet, and let them run wild. Bray can be saved, but it’s going to take a lot of work.

Should WWE bring back The Bunny to feud with Bad Bunny?

Remember The Bunny as one of Adam Rose’s Rose Buds and occasional in-ring chaos maker? The Bunny versus Bad Bunny? I’d laugh. It would be interesting for a segment on RAW or Smackdown. Nothing more than that though.

Whatever happened to Drake Maverick?

Maverick is currently employed by the WWE as part of their creative team, working backstage under the watchful eyes of Triple H. I have no idea if he’ll ever be back in the ring as a performer for WWE, but I could see him popping up in the occasional backstage skit or nostalgic moment. It would be fun to see Maverick maybe in an authority role with Adam Pearce. That could be cool.

Word has it that CM Punk is ready to come back to work and work with The Elite. Should Tony Khan bring him back and if so, what’s the first angle he works?

Yes, Tony should bring him back. They need the ratings that he would bring back and the logic he brings to every angle and match he participates in. As for the first angle, it’s a no-brainer. Go after the AEW World Championship title that he never lost and settle things with The Elite.

Bret Hart made some pretty rough comments about modern wrestling and Jon Moxley in particular. Is Bret right?

Bret can be a Debbie-Downer sometimes and he’s a bitter soul about his legacy and the reasons for his retirement, but in this case, talking about how fake wrestling has gotten, and Moxley in particular, are 100% on target. Write this moment down because you won’t hear me say it very often, but Bret Hart is 100% right.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions you may have are welcome and appreciated. Talk to me, my peeps! And with that, it’s time to wrap things up and call it a day. Take care and stay well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
