WWE TLC Thoughts & Predictions – December 13, 2013

WWE TLC Thoughts And Predictions
December 13, 2013

WWE will return to PPV this Sunday from Houston, Texas with their final PPV of 2013, “TLC” which doesn’t mean tender loving care by any means. It’s “Tables, Ladders and Chairs” (oh my) and it looks to be a pretty solid show. Let’s break out the “Sister Cleo” outfit and do that “making predictions” thing we do so well. Let’s jump right to it.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton – TLC Match to unify WWE and World titles.

This just all seems too rushed for me and I can’t help but think that there’s a major swerve coming to us. People have been speculating that it will end up with both men grabbing a belt and possibly switching titles, but since we’ve been promised one champion and one winner and I don’t think the WWE will go back on that. They might, but it would be a major gamble and could really piss off a lot of fans that WWE needs to hang on to so I don’t think that’s it. Another possibility makes more sense and I’ll go into that in just a moment, but for now, let’s assume that it’s just Cena and Orton and there’s only one winner. Everything points to Cena so I’m going to say that if it comes down to just one man, one winner, one champion between these two men, look for the “Viper” to come out on top.

Winner and NEW Unified Champion: Randy Orton

And now let’s go into the swerve I mentioned. Let’s just suppose that at the last minute, or possibly even during the match, a new person is injected into the match. How about Triple H? With all the Stephanie references to HHH’s reigns as World and WWE Champion, it would make sense to have HHH all of a sudden become part of the match and steal the win. It would fit his character, cement his legacy as one of the greatest of all time, screw over both Cena and Orton, and make for some compelling “must watch” television. It would also piss a lot of people off. I hope it doesn’t happen, but if HHH becomes a part of the match, he also becomes the new Unified Champion.

WWE Intercontinental champ Big E. Langston vs. Damien Sandow.

Should be a decent match but there’s no real drama or suspense here. It’s too soon for Langston to lose the title and he won’t here.

Winner and STILL CHAMPION: Big E. Langston

CM Punk vs. The Shield – Handicap Match.

Just like in the IC match, there really isn’t any doubt who will or will not win. Look for some miscommunication and drama with the members of the Shield, but in the end, they’ll still walk out with their arms raised in victory.

Winners: The Shield

Daniel Bryan vs. The Wyatt Family – Handicap Match.

Just like in the other handicap match, it really isn’t a question of who will win, but how long it will take and how long Bryan will last before being taken out. The Wyatt’s win.

Winners: The Wyatt Family

WWE Divas champ AJ Lee vs. Natalya

AJ is hot and too good to lose right now. Natayla is the better wrestler, but she’s so bland in comparison to AJ or even the Bellas. But then again, no one would suspect a title change here and it would make good TV for the “Total Divas” program. What the hell. New Champ as Natayla wins.

Winner and NEW Divas Champion: Natayla

WWE Tag Team champions Goldust & Cody Rhodes vs. The Real Americans vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel vs. Big Show & Rey Mysterio.

Big Show and Rey as a team? Really? Where are the Usos? I don’t see Ryback and Axel doing anything unless they just happen to get Paul Heyman back in their corner. I like the “Real Americans” and they’re on a roll, but I don’t think it’s time for them to take the gold… yet! Big Show and Rey are a mismatched team thrown together and “friends” of the Rhodes boys. That could lead to drama and issues with Cody and Dustin if they happened to lose the gold to their “friends”. And it’s amusing to watch Rey and Show together, in a freaky sort of way. I think we’re going to have new champs and they’re going to be the big and small freaks from the land of the misfit toys. Whatever…

Winners and NEW WWE Tag Team Champions: Big Show & Rey Mysterio

Dolph Ziggler vs. Fandango – PPV Kickoff

The Show Off versus the Dancing Fool. This is actually a match I think I would enjoy watching because it pits two of the most entertaining characters in WWE against each other. Dolph is without a doubt the better wrestler and should win here. I think we’ll get a great match to get the show started and the audience fired up and in the end, we’ll see Dolph Ziggler getting that arm raised in victory.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

And there you go. My predictions for the last WWE pay-per-view of the year. Am I right? Am I wrong? Am I losing my mind? Comments and thoughts welcome. What are your predictions? Inquiring minds want to know so speak your peace. And I’ll catch you on the flip side.
