Thirty Days Of Dougie! (Day 12): WWE Fastlane Thoughts and Predictions

Does anyone else reading this suffer from anxiety and panic attacks? I’m just wondering because I had an episode early this morning that has kind of shaken me up and messed up my whole vibe. Anxiety has always been a problem for me, from talking to people to going to the store to even answering the phone sometimes. It’s just part of who I am and something I have to deal with. I did seek help one time and the solution proposed was drugs, Prozac to be exact. “It will help”, they promised. “It will keep you from being so anxious all the time.” And they were right. It kept me from feeling the anxiety I normally experienced, but also kept me from feeling anything else. I was like a walking zombie, in that I was here, but just numb about every and anything. I did it for a month and then decided to quit. I’m a writer, or at least try to be, and if I can’t experience and feel, I can’t write. Writing comes from the heart and is full of energy and emotion and feelings. But zoned out on the meds, it was just… nothing.

Anyhow, about this morning. I woke up around 4:00am, after not getting to bed until around 2:30am and doing lots of tossing and turning. And when I woke up, I was sweaty and scared. My head was pounding. My chest felt like someone had wrapped their hands around my heart and was just squeezing. It was a sudden and jerky pull from the my slumbers into being wide awake and not sure where I was or what was happening. And I started crying, from the pain, the anxiety, etc. All of it. I just lay there for a about an hour before finally forcing myself to get up and managing to pull myself together. A trip to the kitchen to get a bottle of water and then to the living room to just sit and meditate. Around 7:00am, I wasn’t hurting too bad and decided to go back to bed to see if I could salvage some sleep for what is going to be a very busy and long day.

I’m not sure exactly what brought it on today. I can usually feel or at least slightly anticipate when an anxiety attack is coming on and I deal with it. And usually, they’re mild and more just extremely uncomfortable than anything else. But this one had sweats, pain, crying and total freaking out involved. I hate it when this stuff happens. But as I said earlier, it is what it is so I deal with it as best I can and just keep on keeping on. Oh vey! And let’s don’t even start to talk about the major depression. I have to deal with that too. *sighs* Let’s get on with this. It’s “Thirty Days Of Dougie! (Day 12)”. And we’re going to keep it short and sweet. It’s a wrestling pay-per-view weekend and it’s WWE Fastlane. That means thoughts and predictions for the upcoming show. So are you ready?

Thirty Days Of Dougie! (Day 12): WWE Fastlane Thoughts and Predictions

Coming up on Sunday night, live from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is the latest WWE pay-per-view offering, Fastlane. It’s a RAW-only show and it’s packed to the gills with some major wrestling action. And of course, that means I’ve got a few predictions to make. Let’s just jump right to it, shall we?

WWE Universal champion Kevin Owens vs. Bill Goldberg.

This one is kind of crazy to me and I’m not sure at all which way the WWE will go. Will Goldberg get the title and go on to defend it against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania? Will Chris Jericho get involved? Will Kevin get to keep the title he deserves so much and defend it against Jericho at Wrestlemania? Does anyone really want to see this match happen anyhow? The way I’m thinking, and I hope I’m wrong, is that we already have another champion involved in this whole scenario with Chris Jericho as the United States Champion. If the Universal Championship changes hands here, then the WWE can have two title matches at Wrestlemania instead of just one. I’d love to see Owens go into Wrestlemania as the Universal Champion and walk out with both the Universal and United States Champion, but that is probably asking for too much. Jericho will get involved and his shenanigans will cost Kevin the title.

Winner and NEW WWE Universal Champion: Bill Goldberg

WWE Raw Women’s champion Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair.

I don’t expect to see Charlotte lose, but at the same time, I don’t think they should take the tltle off of Bayley yet. People like her. So how does this sound? Great match from the ladies, as to be expected. In the end, Charlotte has her henchwomen getting involved, but Sasha is there to make the save. She gets caught by the referee though and it backfires as the ref disqualifies Bayley for outside assistance. Thus Charlotte wins (by DQ), Bayley keeps the belt, and we get the set up for a three-way-dance or even a 4-person match if you want to throw Nia Jax into the mix, for Wrestlemania.

Winner by DQ: Charlotte – Bayley is still Women’s Champion.

Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman.

I can’t really see a clean finish here. Strowman is the resident Monster on RAW now and they don’t want him to lose, yet Roman is Vince’s golden boy and shouldn’t lose either. I would suggest a Double DQ or count-out finish and then allow these men to finish their business in a street fight or something of that nature at Wrestlemania. Yes, this show will have a lot of “to be continued” going on. Just call this one a “No Contest!”

“No Contest” – Double DQ

WWE Cruiserweight champion Neville vs. Jack Gallagher.

While I like Jack Gallagher and the character he represents, I think Neville has really come into his own as the “King of the Cruiserweights”. This should be a fantastic match and have lots of high flying action. And in the end, the “Nice guy will finish last” as Neville retains his gold.

Winner and STILL WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Neville

WWE Raw Tag Team champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Enzo Amore & Big Cass.

Gallows and Anderson just got the belts and I expect them to hold on to the Raw Tag Team Titles for a long time to come. Cass is ready to break out as a singles star and Enzo, he’s just annoying. The Club retains.

Winners and STILL Raw Tag Team Champions: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

Samoa Joe vs. Sami Zayn.

Samoa Joe kills bitches dead! ‘Nuff said!

Winner: Samoa Joe

Nia Jax vs. Sasha Banks.

Nia seems to have Sasha’s number and has already defeated her a couple of times. Sasha needs to get a win and get her heat back, but will it happen on Sunday? I don’t know. I expect we’ll see both Sasha and Nia get involved in the end of the Bayley / Charlotte match. As for this match, my guts say Sasha, but WWE booking logic, or lack thereof, says it’ll be more of Nia. So we’ll go with Nia.

Winner: Nia Jax

Rich Swann & Akira Tozawa vs. Noam Dar & Brian Kendrick.

And now we have what will probably be the best match of the night and the most exciting match of the night and yet, no one will give a damn or care. They’ll probably stick this on the Kickoff Show to get the live crowd going, but when all is said and done, no one will remember what happened or who won. And that is sad. I like “The Brian Kendrick” and always have. Noam Dar is growing on me. Rich Swann reminds me too much of Kofi Kingston to take seriously. And Akira? No real opinion of him yet. Look for a great match and lots of action and the good guys will win, just because. And there you go.

Winners: Rich Swann and Akira Tozawa

And with that, I’m going to close this up. Day 12 is in the books and I’ll be back tomorrow with Day 13. Thanks for reading. Thoughts and comments about this or any of my blogs or posts are welcome and appreciated. So are unsoliciated d*ck pics. Just saying… lol. Have a great one and I’ll see you tomorrow.
