Tossing Salt Presents:
Pro Wrestling Q&A
November 20, 2017
Let’s talk about the world’s greatest sport. Are you ready for some rasslin’? The questions all come from the Facebook group, Kult Of Kayfabe. Let’s do this…
Listening to the newest episode of Something to Wrestle With and they talk about Chavo Guerrero. Both Conrad and Bruce say that if he had a different last name he would’ve been a World Champion (I know there’s a debate if the WWECW title counts as a world title) I always liked Chavo, but thought he was a solid midcarder. With or without being linked to the Guerrero family I don’t think he was main event level. Thoughts?
In a world where folks like Christian, Jinder Mahal, Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, Jeff Jarrett, Ron Killings, Ken Shamrock, Jeff Hardy & Tommy Rich all have reigns as a “World Heavyweight Champion” next to their names, I could easily see Chavito with a short run as a World Champion. The man can talk, wrestle, has charisma and personality, can do serious or comedy and can have a great match with anyone and be either heel or face. He’d make a great champion for any company or brand.
Representing Impact, it’s Moose! Going one on one with WWE Superstar, (and New Day member) Big E! Is Moose gonna bust some heads, or will he meet a Big Ending? It’s Moose vs Big E! Who will win this encounter?
For me, my kidneys because this would be a bathroom break match. I think I’ll go with Big E on this one. I’ve only witnessed Moose a few times thus far, but he really hasn’t impressed me all that much.
Who is the most underrated wrestler on both RAW and SDL currently on the roster?
I would say Cesaro, but I think WWE is coming around and beginning to realize just how good he truly is. I’ll go with Bo Dallas. Watch what he did when he was in NXT, compared to what he’s allowed to do now. It’s un-bolievable, the difference. He could be a big name for WWE, but they just continually waste him. Major suckage here!
Who was your favorite wrestle you met. For me I loved when I met Zack Gowan.
I have two. Mike Youngblood and Ethan Storm. I met Mike probably when he was about 8 or 9 and he eventually became my roomie, my co-worker and my little brother. And I met Ethan Storm roughly 30 years ago, give or take, and we hit it off and he’s my current employer / manager. So there you go.
Who is the most underrated / under appreciated wrestler of all time?
Easy for me. The man who always reminded us that “it’s your duty to shake your booty”, the Disco Inferno.
Wrestling Deaths that hit you the hardest? Definitely Piper for me.
For me, the two hardest that immediately come to mind are Chris Benoit, along with wife Nancy (Woman) and their son, Daniel. Just the craziness and tragedy of it all was overwhelming and so damn sad. And the other is Brian Adams, aka “Crush”. He was a good man, a good friend and we had many conversations about many things via Yahoo and e-mails. An under-rated performer and all around good guy. It’s all about Kronik!
Thoughts on Lars Sullivan?
Big, talented and NXT’sin-house monster. Definitely someone to keep an eye on for the future.
And there you go. Thanks for reading. Questions, comments and thoughts are welcome. Until the next time, take care.
