Tossing Salt Presents:
January 20, 2018
I was going to go for a walk, but decided against it. There are people out there and if I go out, I may have to speak and interact and be sociable. The horrors! Noooooooo! So I’ll stay inside for a bit instead and play some music. I’ve got the original soundtrack from “Jesus Christ Superstar”, one of the greatest musicals of all time, blasting in my earphones. And I’m going to do some wrestling Q&A. Doesn’t that sound like fun? The questions come from my Facebook timeline and mostly the KoK, aka the “Kult of Kayfabe”. The answers come from me. Let’s go crazy and do this…
Has the debut of Asuka and the Women’s Royal Rumble rendered Alexa Bliss irrelevant?
Alexa is the current WWE Raw Women’s Champion so to call her irrelevant is pure craziness. She’s been featured on RAW quite frequently, has made her presence felt in the Nia Jax / Enzo storyline and is part of the mixed-tag team competition, teaming with Braun Strowman. I think she’s in a good spot with the company and extremely relevant.
Should Bruce Prichard go into the WWE HOF?
Just for his role as “Brother Love”, I think that Prichard is a safe bet to call “Hall of Fame” worthy. And then add in his multiple years of working behind the scenes at both WWE and later on, TNA and that’s just icing on the cake. We’ll see him in sooner rather than later.
Whats everyone’s opinion on the Bludgeon Brothers? I enjoy Luke Harper but just feel that WWE hasn’t been able to write anyone who’s a believable dark/horror type characters. Bray is in the same boat. Lots of potential but it seems they are going no where with the characters.
I hate the whole “Bludgeon Brothers” gimmick. Just working as “Harper and Rowan” worked well for me. These are two monsters among men and don’t need the stupid hammers and costumes to get over, especially not Harper. They deserve better to be sure. This whole gimmick is just treading water and killing their characters making them into parodies rather than serious wrestlers. This is an example where WWE needs to bring someone in like Paul Ellering from NXT or anyone really to rehabilitate their characters and make them serious and legit tag team superstars. They can still be saved, but as these stupid characters and this gimmick goes on, it’s going to be harder and harder.
Who do you think we will see inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame first? Jeff Jarrett, Ole Anderson, CM Punk or Chris Benoit?
Benoit will never be inducted… period. I could see Ole going in as part of a “Legacy” package, but never as a solo even though he’s one of the most deserving guys from the 70’s and 80’s who still hasn’t been inducted. Jarrett recently did a stint in rehab that was paid for by the WWE so there is a mending of fences slowly taking place there and as he moves farther away from TNA / Impact, the options for a return of some type grow. And Punk? Vince likes him and I think eventually, he and the WWE will work together again in some capacity. But so long as the lawsuit between Punk and the WWE’s doctor continues, it won’t happen yet. So of these four, I think we’ll see Jeff Jarrett go in first.
Am I the only one that feels this year is the year we get a shocker for a Royal Rumble winner?
I hope that we do get a surprise and someone out of the usual top 4 or 5 as the winner. I love surprises and wouldn’t it be great to see Luke Harper or Miz or even Heath Slater come out on top at the end. How about the returning Chris Masters (rumor) or even ECIII? It would be great.
Who’s funnier? B.W.O or New Day?
The New Day has gotten beyond stale in my opinion. The B.W.O. has never gotten old. I’ve got to go with Meanie, Stevie and Nova on this one.
And there you go. Comments, thoughts and questions and all feedback really is welcome and appreciated. Let me know what you think. And now, I have to go return a phone call. My sister. Damn, my plans for doing nothing are probably ruined. Until the next time, take care and stay too sweet! Love you – mean it.
