And it’s time, once again, to climb aboard the Soul Train. Oh wait, that’s the wrong intro. I’m saving that one for a Top Ten List about TV Hosts and Announcers. I just ate a couple of spoons of peanut butter and my tongue keeps sticking to the top of my mouth. Good thing I’m writing this and not trying to speak. So are you ready to talk some wrestling? It’s the “Fact or Fiction” thing and it’s wrestling themed today. The questions come from my friends at 411mania.com/wrestling, the answers come from me and Randy Orton hails from St. Louis. Let’s do this…

1. Monday’s Ultimate Deletion was good.

FACT: Was it great or even as good as the TNA version? Not really, but it hit all the right spots and was a nice change of pace from the usual WWE programming and matches. Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt in the main event, plus the WWE debuts of Queen Rebecca, Senor Benjamin, King Maxel, Vanguard 1 and a cameo by “Brother Nero”. How can anyone complain or object. I enjoyed it and it was good to see new guys get the spotlight for once. And to be honest, I’m more interested in the Hardy – Wyatt feud now than I have been at any other point thus far. I love seeing WWE work outside the box and get a little crazy sometimes. And the “Ultimate Deletion” was a good step in that direction.

2. Daniel Bryan being back will further prove that Roman Reigns will not be the chosen one by the fans.

FICTION: Whatever comes of the Daniel Bryan return to the ring hasn’t got anything to do with how fans react to Roman Reigns. Two totally different wrestlers with two different characters and styles and fan bases. Fans can love Bryan and hate Reigns or vice-versa and it’s like comparing apples to oranges. They’re both fruits and delicious to the taste, but the juice burns if it squirts in your eyes. Bryan is popular with the fans and Roman has mixed reactions from the fans, kind of like John Cena. One has nothing to do with the other.

3. Rey Mysterio will be back with WWE by Summerslam.

FACT: WWE seems keen for some reason to want Rey to come back and Rey wants to come back so it’s all just a matter of logistics and working out the details. He’ll be back. ‘Nuff said!

4. The US Title match between Orton, Roode, & Mahal should be on the WrestleMania pre-show.

FACT: The entire Wrestlemania event is packed and loaded with tons of great matches and this match will just be one among many. I don’t think it really matters where the match is placed. It’ll be a good match and everyone will work hard and once the show is over, the overall smoke and mirrors spectacular production that is Wrestlemania will overshadow everything and no one will remember the details or anything about this match except for the final results. So with that in mind, put it on the pre-show along with the Women’s Battle Royal and maybe the Uso match against Harper and Rowan. So long as it’s on the card in some fashion, be it on the pre-show or main show, the fans will be happy.

5. The build to Charlotte vs. Asuka has been poor so far.

FACT: It seems as if Asuka versus Charlotte has been second-guessed and placed on the back-burner, behind the Ronda Rousey news and of course, the antics of Raw Women’s Champion Alexa and her challenger, Nia Jax. It should be a great match though and personally, it’s one of the battles I’m looking most forward to.

6. The women’s battle royal will end up on the WrestleMania pre-show.

FACT: Absolutely and that’s the best place for it to be. A Battle Royal is a novelty match and doesn’t really need be be in a place that may overshadow the rest of the matches and with the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal already taking place, having two of these matches on the same card is a bit of overkill. They need to be kept spaced apart on the event and used as buffers between the big matches and more serious events. Since the Women’s Battle Royal is new and honestly, not quite as memorable or important as the Men’s event, it’ll get the lesser spot on the card. It doesn’t matter though. Both matches and Battle Royal’s will get their chance to shine and do their thing and that’s what matters, right.

And that’s all for now. Thank you for reading. Comments, thoughts and questions welcome and appreciated. Until the next time, my friends, I’m down and gone. Have a great one and I’ll catch you later.
