Tossing Salt Presents:
Miz & Maryse, Lesnar & More…
August 7, 2018
The questions come from the MJ Mailbag over at PWInsiderElite.com. And I’ve got all the answers because I am the one with the all the stroke around here. I am the “Chosen One”… so choke on that, slapnuts! Yes, I’ve been watching too much of the old editions of WCW Nitro, featuring Jeff Jarrett lately. Let’s get to the questions and get busy. Let’s do this…
1.) More likely John Cena or Daniel Bryan main events another Wrestlemania in their careers?
While I do expect to see Cena work a few more Wrestlemania events, I don’t think he’ll be the main event of any of them anymore. Daniel Bryan, should he continue to work for WWE, has several more main events in his future and it wouldn’t even surprise me to see an AJ Styles versus Daniel Bryan match at some point, maybe even next April.
2.) With the movement of TLC to December do you think WWE is set on trying to have no more than 1 ppv per month?
Who knows what WWE is trying to do here. With RAW, Smackdown, NXT, Main Event, the Takeover events and the occasional special on TV and The Network, one ppv is definitely more than enough so I can see them working towards that. Less is more after all. Don’t believe me, just ask my ex. He was living proof of that, especially the “less” part.
3.) Do you think we’ll ever see Christian wrestle again?
4.) What’s the one match at Extreme Rules that exceeded your expectations?
When the B-Team defeated Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy to capture the RAW Tag Team Titles. I was so scared that Bo and Axel would be getting buried, but it didn’t work out that way and my two favorite third-generation wrestlers won the gold, walked out with the victory and began a long anticipated and well deserved push. That match was, as Bo and Axel’s former boss, when they were the Miztourage, would say, “AWESOME!”.
5.) If Strowman does beat Lesnar for the title…who eventually beats Strowman?
Hulk Hogan, using his “creative control” in a reboot of Wrestlemania III… Or maybe Kevin Nash with the “fingerpoke of doom 2.0”. But seriously, if Braun does become the Universal Champion, I think his biggest challenge will be either Lashley or Roman (groan) Reigns.
6.) Does Lesnar have pictures of Vince or people in his family cause I still don’t get how he’s been champ for a year and a half on their supposed A show (for now) Raw?
He gets to do what he wants because he’s Brock Lesnar. I don’t get it either, but I’m sure that Vince has his reasons, not that anyone else understands it, but so long as Vince does and he’s the boss, it doesn’t matter why or what we think.
7.) Do you like having the women and tag teams split into 2 or would you prefer to have all the women on one show and all the tag teams on another?
It works better with the rosters split in two since taking all the women from one show will keep the fans of women’s wrestling from watching that show. Same goes for tag teams. Better to keep is all mixed up and offer a variety of product with something for everyone so even if fans don’t like Match A or Match B, maybe they’ll like Match C. Keep it interesting with something for everyone.
8.) Do you think the Miz & Maryse show will surpass the Bella Twins show in popularity?
9.) Do you think Summerslam is clearly the #2 ppv now in management’s eyes and the fans eyes too?
Summerslam is the Wrestlemania of the Summer. That’s how WWE see’s it and I think that’s how the majority of the fans see it as well.
10.) What is the one woman on the main roster currently who you think will have the most successful career overall in WWE?
There are so many talented women currently in WWE that it’s hard to pick just one woman. Charlotte Flair is the most obvious choice and natural answer to this question and given her family ties to wrestling and the WWE, I think she’s going to be a big star for many years to come. But after Charlotte, I think the two women that would be best to keep an eye on are Carmella and Alexa Bliss. These two women are so good and just get better and better each and every week. I think Charlotte is the next “Trish” in WWE’s eyes, but if that’s the case, then Alexa is the next “Lita”, Carmella is the next “Ivory” and Asuka (can’t forget about her) is the next “Madusa”. And there you go.
And that’s all of that for now. Thoughts, comments, questions, etc are welcome and appreciated. Give me your feedback and let me know what you think. I want to know. And with that, I think it’s time to call it a night. Have a great one and stay just too sweet. Take care.
