Buffy The Vampire Slayer
September 9, 2018
One of my favorite shows of all time would be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Shocking, I know. That’s the topic though of this edition of “5 Questions”. The questions come from the Facebook group, “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”. Great name, I know. Anyways, they had the questions and I’ve got the answers. Let’s do this…
What fight would you say was Buffy’s biggest challenge and why? This can be one specific battle, one Big Bad in particular, or even just a life moment.
Vampires and demons come and go, but the biggest thing for me was when Buffy’s mom died and Buffy found her body laying on the couch of their living room. Apocolypse, we’ve all been there, but the death of a parent, that’s something that a person never truly gets over.
Do y’all think Angel is still in love with Buffy (as of the final episodes of Angel.)
I think that Angel will love Buffy until the end of his (undying) days.
So what’s your favorite Buffy moment that made you really scream out loud/caused a major reaction?
It’s not my “favorite moment”, but when Tara was shot and died, I did scream out loudly and cuss at the TV screen. It was so wtong and unfair. When Anya died, it was so… anti-climatic and I kind of lost it there and just stood there for a minute wondering what had just happened. But my favorite “yay” moment was when Willow was going all black and evilish and Giles showed up and said those magic words, “I’d like to test that theory!”.
If you were in danger, who would you choose to protect you; the Scooby gang (at its strongest) or Angel Investigations (at its strongest)?
What made you choose the team you chose?
No doubt it would be Buffy, Giles, Willow and the rest of the Scoobies. Angel and his crew were okay, but for a bunch of professionals, I just didn’t sense a lot of competence or togetherness in that unit. Even at their worst, the Scoobies had that family bond and so long as they were together, anything was possible.
What characters from the original Buffy series would you like to see show up on the reboot?
At some point, all of them, but in the beginning, Xander and Giles would be the two I’d like to see pop up to help point the way and lend direction to the new Slayer and her friends. Spike could be fun with a cameo or two and if Druscilla was to show up and cause a few problems, I wouldn’t object in the slightest either.
And that’s all of the Buffy-stuff for today. Thanks for reading. Are you a Buffy fan? What do you think of the upcoming reboot of the series and the show itself? Let me know. Comments and thoughts welcome. Until the next time, take care and I’ll catch you later.
