And finally (for today) it’s that Fact or Fiction thing, the wrestling edition. And guess what? I’m caught up (kind of). The statements come from my long time close and personal friends over at 411mania.com/wrestling. I’m providing the thoughts and opinions that follow. Let’s do this…

1. WWE Hell in a Cell was the best main roster special event/PPV of 2018.

FICTION: HIAC was good and that’s for sure. It was a stacked card and pretty much delivered in every match except for the main event with the non-finish and Brock interference. But is it the best of the year thus far? I liked the Royal Rumble and I think that SummerSlam was, for the most part, a really good show as well. So while HIAC was up there with the cool kids at the top of the ladder, I can’t honestly say it was the best. It’s arguable.

2. Alexa Bliss possibly being put of the whole Mixed Match Challenge lowers your interest in the tournament.

FICTION: Asuka and The Miz is my team for the Mixed Match Challenge and while I’m interested in and a fan of Ms. Bliss, she’s not the reason I’m giving this event any attention and her presence or non-presence as it is, doesn’t matter to me.

3. Pentagon & Fenix are better off not coming to WWE at this time.

FICTION: It’s a hard call that could go either way, but with the WWE roster so bloated and stacked as it is right now, I’m figuring that if Pentagon and Fenix were hired by WWE, they’d end up lost in the shuffle and be only slightly better off than Sin Cara or Kalisto at this particular point and time. The money might be a little better for them if they were in WWE, but they’re doing fine and will continue to do so. Better to bide their time and wait for the right time rather than come aboard right now.

4. WWE is moving 205 Live to Wednesdays, and should change the production and pre-tape like NXT in smaller venues (like Full Sail and Center Stage).

FACT: While the “live factor” is one of the big drawing points of 205 Live, that’s all moot now that they’re moving to Wednesday. So far as I understand, the show will still be taped on Tuesday night after Smackdown as it has been. If they’re going to pre-tape anyways, may as well make it work for them and give the 205 stars a chance to perform in smaller arenas where the fans are hyped and energetic rather than continuing taping after the Smackdown crowd has worn itself out. It would help the WWE lower production costs and help big time with the crowd reactions. WWE should at least consider these other options.

5. You were shocked WWE released Mahabali Shera simply because you forgot WWE had signed him.

FICTION: I’d have to have known who he is and that he was even there to be shocked about his termination and I don’t know who he is aside from what I read in preparation for this question and I still don’t care about his release. No matter to me one way or the other.

6. What is your level of excitement for the WWE Super Show-Down event in Australia.

Probably a 6 out of 10. I’ll get more excited for it as we get closer and the build gets better, but for now, I’ve got far too much going on and too many things in my life that rank far more important than a WWE event in Australia.

And that’s all for today (unless there ends up being more). Questions, comments and any thoughts are welcome and appreciated. And with that, I’m down and gone. Have a great one, go watch an SMF Cyberspace video over at SMFCyberspace.com, eat a burrito and have a great one. I already said that so you know I mean it. Take care and I’ll see you at the matches.
