5 Questions: Texts, Movies & More…

5 Questions
Texts, Movies & More

People are always asking questions and I’ve got the answers, five at a time. These come from my Facebook timeline and a lovely lady named Terri. Let’s do this…

Wal-Mart or Target?

I hate Wal-Mart with a passion. It’s easily the most evil place on Earth, even worse than Detroit or Disney. But we don’t have a local Target around here with the closest being in Fayetteville or maybe Florence. I used to go to Target regularly when I lived in Wilmington and it was always an experience, mostly good. The local Wal-Mart isn’t all bad and I don’t really mind this one, but I would prefer to go elsewhere. Give me Target anytime.

What does your last text received say?

It says, “Are you free? Want to come over?”, from an associate of mine who loves him some occasional Dougie time.

What obscure or mostly unknown movie have you recently seen that you would recommend to everyone?

The one that comes to mind first is called “White Frog” and it’s on Netflix. It’s about an autistic boy, played by Boo Boo Stewart (Seth in “Twilight”), who’s brother dies in a tragedy and he has to deal with that as he learns more about his brother’s hidden life and himself. It’s a great movie and very moving and has become one of my favorites.

Would you rather live in Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood or on Sesame Street?

Sesame Street. Mr Roger’s Neighborhood is a creepy old man wearing sweaters and lots of hand puppets. Sesame Street has monsters, Muppets, real people, lots of kids and a grouch. I’d feel right at home with all the weirdness.

What is your favorite time of the day?

Either late at night, just past midnight where the people have gone to sleep and the magic that is the darkness comes forth with all it’s glory. And then, a few hours later, just before sunrise, when the music of the night starts to give way to the breaking of the dawn. Everyone is asleep and it’s quiet and peaceful and definitely my favorite moments of the day.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Any thoughts, comments or questions, feel free to give me a shout out and we’ll chat. Until the next time, have a great one and stay safe.
