Time to do that “5 Questions” thing. These come from Jesse. We sometimes talk about books and the things we’re reading currently, have read and want to read. Some good questions. Let’s do this…

Have you ever thought about writing a book? If so, what would it be about?

If I was to write a book, I think it would be in the style of Andy Rooney (remember him?) and just post / print some of my better “Days Of Dougie” rants. So many topics and so many thoughts and rambling analysis taken form and given life in the form of written words.

Favorite author / writer?

There are so many to choose from, but I think I’ll go with Anne Rice. Her work with the Vampire Chronicles and the stories of Lestat, Louis, Armand, David and the others, is beyond compare and truly magical. And a big should out to Hugh Prather as well.  Hugh Baby has helped me through many a troubling time and has enriched my life in many ways.

Who would you like to see write an autobiography?

Vince McMahon writing a tell-all would be amazing. I’d love to read the thoughts and life of Elton John in an uncensored form. Axl Rose could probably tell an amazing story. And what the hell… how about Ron Jeremy doing a tell-all. Who wouldn’t want to read that?

What book would you like to see be made into a TV series or movie?

The whole “Vampire Chronicles” series, maybe made into a Netflix series would be awesome. The original “Interview With A Vampire” movie was good and the two follow-ups were so-so, but they left out so much. Let Anne Rice be an executive producer and stay faithful to the books, complete with the homoerotic stuff and the religious stuff as well. It would be controversial, especially in today’s “everyone is offended by everything” climate, but it would be incredible as well.

Do you prefer reading fiction or non-fiction?

I love fiction, such as sc-fi, comics, a good fantasy story, etc, but my preference is reality and non-fiction books. Reading about weird stuff and people and knowing that it actually happened adds a little extra and provides insight and inspiration.

And that’s all of that for now. Not as good as I had hoped, but I’m not really feeling it today. Hopefully things will pick up and it’ll get better and I’ll get caught up, be entertaining and insightful and have you coming back for more with a sense of anticipation. I’ll try. Questions, comments and any other thoughts, feel free to holler at me. Until the next time, take care and stay safe. I loves ya!
